I'm at the point I need better dampers. I do spirited street driving occasional drags and occasional track days at places like mid-Ohio.

I've searched and am confused as heck. I want a decent but firm ride, but control of the suspension is number one.

I like the idea of the Koni being adjustable but have heard it isn't much change. I think the Bilstein would be easier to rebuild.

I have never run Koni's but put the 5100 series on all my pickup trucks and like them.

I am going with 200# front and 800# rear springs

Can any vendors hook me up with a set of B6's?

The Konis will make it feel planted but overall crashy ride quality imho. I'd go with the Bilsteins 100%.

If the B6 is anything like the 5100, I'm sold.

Hopefully, Terry has a set in stock. He is just across town.

How do the Bilsteins do at the drag strip? I've been going a bit crazy searching trying to nail down a setup that can do well in very aggressive back road driving but also be pretty decent on the occasional trip to the strip.

What is “crashy ride quality”?

I'd like to know this also. I have used Bilsteins before so am comfortable with going with the B6.
I do wonder about Koni's

Mods,

For some reason when I try to quote someone I get a pop up that says I don't have permission to access this resource.

Got the shocks and struts today, will I have any surprises when installing.

Will I need to modify the stock shock mount?

With the Konis, you have to drill out the rear shock mounts because the shafts are really thick. Not sure about the Bilsteins.

Yep, nice easy install.

They need to wear in a bit but I drove down a washboard road that used to beat the heck out of me, and the car is now smooth. Relatively, it still is a washboard road but I am impressed. Car is much more comfortable to drive. I threw it into a couple of hard turns on the same washboard road and the handling is predictable.

(Now I need tires, it never ends)
Might hit a test and tune if it is not raining tonight
