Hey guys, I'm halfway through the Bilstein strut and shock upgrade and I've run into a question. How does the bumpstop/boot work?
The shaft of the strut is easily double the diameter, except at the top, where the boot and bumpstop can fit, but in the arrangement I've come up with, the boot gets compressed when the bumpstop gets hit. That doesn't seem right.
Here's my current idea. I also vague remember reading the B6 has internal bumpstops. Might that be true?

The Bilstein front struts have integrated bumpstops. No need to add one.

Did you use the OEM bump stop for the rear shocks?
