In addition to what everyone else has said I would suggest you consider the J&M rear shock mounts from https://hotpart.com/product-category/mustang/mustang-2015-2016-s550/rear-shock-mount/
these rear shock mounts can be mounted on the lower holes to give 1/2” shock travel back and trust me it’s worth it. I have the same springs as you and that rear drop is enough to make the car ride the bump stops nonstop. Even with cut stops the clearance between the top of the shock body and the bump stops is a finger width. The shock has barely any room to compress before it hits those POS hard old Ford bump stops.

and new rear bump stops from Eibach: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/eib-ebs770060
these bump stops are much better designed and more compliant than cut factory ones.

These two mods in combination should help a lot.

Thanks for the advice. I have read that the softer Eibach bump stops work better. Are there any compatibly issues with the J&M shock mounts and Bilstein shocks? I think the Steeda shock mounts need an adapter of some sort to work with the Bilsteins.

i use Bilsteins with those mounts and stops so I know it’s a good combo.

correct. They don't actually list the kit as a SKU (or didn't) so you must call them up and ask for it. I just today had the BoM/Receipt in my grubby little hands but I don't remember if I trashed it or kept it.

I have been running my B6 shocks and struts, BMR handling springs, BMR shock mounts and J&M mounting plates for over a year now, going on two years. It is an amazing setup and still love it to this day.

The main issue was the bump stops. Adjusting tire pressure and getting an alignment helped some, but the feeling of the "rear end wanting to launch" over certain types of bumps remained. It wasn't until I swapped the OEM bump stops with the BMW M3 bump stops recommended here (trimmed 1/2 inch) that the problem went away. I think the installer just didn't trim the OEM ones enough. I must have been hitting the bump stops way too early as the shocks compressed.

Yeah my original post was months ago. I was very busy at the time and didn't get the alignment done for a few weeks. Then I decided to wait for cooler weather to do any work on the car. Just as it got cooler in September I blew out my back. (Still wondering when I'll get back to playing golf again.)
