I have this on the fusion, never used it. Why would I? Never quite got it, I always have my keys on me no matter what
you people actually leave your keys in the car when you're not with it? seems extremely stupid to me.
That's what I thought 'til I got it. I ALWAYS leave my keys in the car now. I love it. Just throw them under the seat, or in the console, lock the doors and I'm good.Really. Who leaves their car keys in their car on purpose? Sounds like a use case scenario for like 5 people total.
I've used it for at the beach in Florida and also running in the convenience store in NH when it's -20F and you leave the car running.
When you return, punch in the code and it unlocks.
Its a Mustang not a $100,000 one of a kind car.
I agree regarding the rain sensing wipers. Have had it in 3 different cars and they never work very well. At least with my 300 srt8 you could access menus to turn it off and then just use plain old intermittent.Steve Ling (Ford's Marketing Manager in N.America) confirmed the Mustang will be keyless as standard.
Ford, please stop putting this unnecessary technology in cars, leave that to BMW. Spend the money on the engine and performance rather than gimmicks like keyless entry, rain sensing windwipers etc. etc. Jeez, if you can't operate a key and/or the windscreen wipers you shouldn't be driving!
This is an item that I going to buy as soon as my convertible arrives. Are the external keypads used for keyless entry a dealer installed option?
Oh, look. They are.
Compatible with the Mustang too. I think it would be ugly as sin, but it would solve the problem.

"no drilling required"...where would be the recommended location to install?
I am assuming a 3M adhesive strip on the back.
Cool where do you live. I'll just use my special 2 foot long iron key to open and I will come drive it then. It might not make it back though. ;)That's what I thought 'til I got it. No more carrying all that crap in my pocket, or forgetting where I left my keys. If one of my family needs the car, they can come get it and without having to scrounge a key.
I must be one of the 5...![]()

I loved having Keyless Entry on My Thunderbirds and Mark VII, but these Add On Keypads Look Horrible! They stick Out like a Sore Thumb.

It's a shame Ford didn't Integrate a Verticle Touch Keypad into the Quarter Window Glass on the 2015 Mustang like they use on the Fusion.
