I posted on here a few weeks ago about a problem with my Pedal Max so I thought I would give an update. Basically, I got a CEL every time I started the car and when I tried to press the pedal there was no response at all. I spoke to someone at JMS and they gladly sent me a new one while I returned the bad one to them. I installed the new one and it worked fine right off the bat. I can also say that the throttle response is definitely improved and helped with the sluggish feel the car had when accelerating below 3K RPM. Although I was a bit frustrated at first, overall I am happy with the purchase.
Nice to know they took care of it for you, and it's working as intended.

For those that installed theirs with the optional dial, can you either post pics or direct me to the pics in this thread of how and where you mounted it? I'm looking for ideas. Ideally, I'd like to have it easy to access, but I don't particularly want it to be visible. Thanks in advance for the help!

Honestly I wouldn't waste the money on the dial. Run it at 100%. You will get used to it in a week or two and you will never find yourself wanting a more sluggish car. My car just feels"normal" to me now. I see no need to dial it back ever. It comes with a 60% chip if you so desire but trust me, you won't.

How many are using this with a lund tune? John told me not to run the pedalmax with his tune because they may not "jive" together. I did disconnect it before I loaded the tune like he recommended but I miss the way it felt before. Not sure if I should try it or not.

Look a little further back I posted pics. I have mine wire tied up above gas pedal. I just reach under and can turn it no problem.

See now, I do not think this is a waste of money. If ever the car goes in for service....... Just turn it off. If ever you valet the car (I wouldn't).......... Just turn it off. If ever the wife or kid drives the car........ Just turn it off. The most important reason I can think of is in snow driving....... Just turn it off. It's $20 and well worth it.

Not sure why you couldn't. It does nothing to the tune, it simply works the throttle response no matter what tune you have or what drive setting your in.

Works MINT with my Whipple tune.

Personally, I'm glad I didn't have this on my car when learning to drive standard. Under my very untrained feet, the car felt plenty "lurchy" until I learned how wide the catch point was and how to ease on.

We'll see what tomorrow holds, but I think I'll still get this thing after a month or two. Maybe when I can reverse out of my steep driveway uphill perfectly.

Been running the Pedalmax with a Lund tune for months now. Zero issues. Ice talked to a few guys at Lund about the Pedalmax, and they all discouraged me from using it. Snake oil they said.... I choose to decide for myself

Finally installed this today....

I have the dial knob and drove it initially on stock for a bit...then dialed it to 100 and holy shit:eyebulge:

Huge difference....I drove it on normal mode and it felt like sport and a boost more.

Drove it with Sport+ and it was really aggressive...too aggressive for my brief city driving:lol:

Then I figured maybe it's a new mod and I'm excited so my head is gonna start playing games and think my throttle response is faster but in reality it's probably not...So put it back to stock mode to test my theory and....

Stock felt....Horribily slow!!

Going for more drives later tonight when I have more open road to work, but so far I'm very impressed!!

I get mine in 2 days. If I can get rid of the lag when I'm passing other cars...I'll be happy.

I decided to try the pedalmax with the Lund tune. I have had no issues so far after driving it several times enjoying the regained throttle response!

What cars are you having trouble passing? On the Indy 500?:D

I also ordered the product, lets see what the fuzz is all about!

Got it and installed it today. Seems good so far. OK, now for the bad news. That was a HUGE PITA to install. If you're 6ft or taller and over 200 lbs, you better be a contortionist. LOL. It was CRAZY!!

I've had it for about a week now...Well worth the money!

I think that the switch is definitely worth the extra $20 or so...Depending on the driving conditions...I dial the switch accordingly.

IMO it's the best most inexpensive mod you can buy because it changes the driving experience significantly.

I've had this for a couple days now. Was worth the money, no doubt. The car feels more responsive. The way it should. I bought the switch, but took it off after the first drive. No need to go under 100% (even when the wife drives it).

Installed it today. This car should have came from the factory just like this responsive. Down side, all modes except the snow/wet mode feel the same now. I can't tell a difference. The car sprints so much faster it almost feels like its on red bull:thumbsup:

Side note here, this mode will affect the 0-60 and quarter mile times for sure. There is no delay on throttle input and the car pulls steady all the way to the top. Money well spent:cheers:
