All he exposed is Ford sold 37000 less vehicles , but was only 1000 less in Fleet. So GM sold 36000 more retail. Now if you want to cherry pick a month, go see the numbers in December and then all of 2017.

Are rental cars not considered fleet sales?

Pretty sure I've seen Camaros at rental companies.

Of course they are. I rented a vehicle from Hertz yesterday and there are Camros sitting in the rental fleet.

It's a silly excuse.

And it's not just one month, it's pretty obvious the 6th gen Camaro, even with all the rave reviews of driving dynamics/performance, has design issues that are resulting in laskluster sales.

The point that was made was Camaro6 said GM does not sell fleet cars anymore and are only selling high profit margin retail cars. It is another lie that is spewed.

They didn’t say they don’t sell, but they cut back on fleet sales. 2017 total sales shows they did.

That's the lowest monthly sales number since Camaro was revivied by GM.

I don't really celebrate this stuff because at this pace the Camaro may not survive past 6th gen.

That is because, all the mullet-heads that are going to buy a Camaro, have all nearly bought them. No more dolts left who want to buy an ergonomic nightmare..!

Yet, we see these tryhard's every day, driving around with their trophy showing off their hairdo... & all the power to them.

Again, I drove a Camaro and went 2 miles before I turned around and gave the keys back. Told the Salesmen this thing should not even been allowed to be on public roads, it is not designed with safety in mind. It was ignorantly designed for only looking out the front of the car....

The Camaro has an incredible lack of ergonomics engineering & aesthetics. Almost a joke! And I am sure many Others, after test driving felt the same way.

Not-to-mention, that the Camaro is butt ugly and it's lines just don't flow and is hard on the eyes. Heck, even an old GM exec said the Camaro doesn't hold water to the new Mustang in design.

Sadly, the Camaro's sales will continue to dwindle, because a base 4-banger Mustang is a better car.

I wouldn't be too gleeful about the possible demise of the Camaro, with the noise coming out of the new CEO of Ford it would not surprise me one bit if the next generation of Mustang also bites the dust.
I have visited the Flat Rock Plant. It is efficient and modular. The S197s were built there alongside Mazada 6s in the mid '00s.. Ford could do anything with the plant. The S95 was a 10 year program. The S197 was a 10 year program. Flat Rock is tooled for S550 and that is a ten year program. The corporate bean counters are going to reap their tooling investment. The Mustang sells. There is a passionate side to driving Ford has always understood. As long as America has roads there will be Mustangs.

AWD hybrid diaper buckets with sliding doors on both sides, back seat TVs, and a rear doggy cage ain't what every car buyer is looking for.

Mustang isn't going anywhere for along time but camaro on the other hand if it keeps selling in the numbers it did in January won't be around much longer

GM sold nearly 200,000 vehicles in January, less than 3,000 were Camaros, just over 1% of sales. Why do they bother when they could build cars people want on the Camaro line?

At least the whole world would love a Mustang at some time in their lives, a Camaro? Nah.
The Mustang was less then 3%, so neither are money makers in the scope of sales. Trucks and SUVs are what makes them money, the sports cars are just icing on the cake. The Camaro icing is just a little thinner.

If you want to be a cheerleader for them answer my questions I asked earlier. No one else will.
