  1. 🏁 Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

My impression of the GTD; bu bu bu bad to the bone! Ownership of a GTD is out of my orbit, but I am delighted Ford built it. The body work is a design foundation to share with future street market models. The design touches ecstasy and still looks very Mustang. Just one look, that's all it took...
  2. Wheels...baddest ones you've seen?

There is something to be said for the classic less rim more rubber look. Pictured is my pedestrian V6 fitted with Ford Racing 2007 GT stock rims (P235-55R17). Stronger than the art deco 20-19 inch $$$ extravaganzas.. Lighter than custom wheels with mounted rubber. Ride and perform well for the...
  3. 3 More Stolen

Because these thefts are inside jobs. I am a former UAW Ford assembly employee. All the theft was employee perpetrated.
  4. Oh the Humanity

Can and should take a backseat to must. My '17 V6 is the only car I have to transport bicycles. I have bicycled more miles this year than driven. Four suction cups hold the Yakima rail. They stick!
  5. Don't Drink and Drive on Your GT500 Wheels Like Marshawn Lynch

Give the guy a break, he was in beast mode.

  7. Do I really need an oil catch can?

Oil separation is about high RPM. Crank windage atomizes 5W20 more than old world 10W40 with STP. The more rpm the more PCV output. One issue is octane and burn rate. Wetting down the A/F charge with 5W20 fog defeats a 93 Octane tune. Second issue is spark. The 93 Oct benefit is above 4200 RPM...
  8. Do I really need an oil catch can?

What warranty? my GT is 16 years old this October. The only reason I still have it is because of good care, maintenance, and the mods. The air/oil separator is a maintenance item I would not delete.
  9. Do I really need an oil catch can?

On the camaro forum about 5 years back. A new Camaro buyer had his 6.2L freeze from a crank lube system failure. 8K miles on the ODO. Certainly a factory defect. But, he installed an aftermarket air oil separator. GM denied warranty for the mod. The guy collected petition signatures on the forum...
  10. Do I really need an oil catch can?

I run one on my 2007 GT. I empty it every 1500 miles. No one sold me. I had the plenum on my work bench for mods. The oil drench on the ducts freaked me out. IMO it was excessive. I used an air compressor separator from GRAINGER. $17.95. It is all good with no cons. It was also a good time to...
  11. I hate people so much

The secret to keeping your Mustang dent free. Drive a twenty-seven year old Crown Vic on all errands, shopping, and to sports events. The sides are so dented it looks like a golf ball. But the GT is pretty.
  12. I hate people so much

To the OP. I have one of what you have in both my '07GT and '17V6. I look at this way. Steve McQueen intentionally dented the hood on his highland green fastback 390 Mustang in the movie Bullitt. He said it had something to do with character.
  13. Hood Adjustment

I know exactly what you are saying. That is why I wrote "... quit when it is good enuff." S550 hoods make me wonder if the sheet metal stamping dies are straight.
  14. Hood Adjustment

There is. Slightly free the hood hinge bolts under the hood. Wear work gloves. Keeps the hood clean. Lower hood to about a foot from closed. Grab the front corners and shimmy to line the fender gaps. You raise and lower to get your line-up reference. I got into this when i installed gas charged...
  15. Hood Adjustment

You are right on. My hood gap was creeping up. Not good for aerodynamics. I discovered one of the two 10 mm bolts was missing. Fixed that. Slid the bracket down to the stop, tightened the bolts. Firm pressure required to latch the hood closed. The surface match is jet aircraft clean.
  16. Why does everyone else drive like a pos bc we have stangs?

Are u losing the bubble? This site is Mustang 6G. Way more people drive Camry than Mustang, but muscle is it's own market segment, different buyers. Who modifies a Camry? My S550 V6/6R80, I would not trade it for two Camrys. I put over $1K Steeda undercarriage in it, front extreme G-Trac brace...
  17. Why does everyone else drive like a pos bc we have stangs?

I get the same experience the OP has and the others posting here. I think a Mustang with a happy owner is just a thing that stands out in traffic and many other drivers can't handle it. Especially Jeep owners. They spent $60K for a square shaped steel grand stand section on wheels with knobby...
  18. Millennial Theft Proofing my Mustang

Why talk about 3 on a tree, WW2 Russians, Costa Rica, or 1987? That is not where Mustang manual gear change trans are today. The MT82, the TR3650, TR 6061 etc. are worlds advanced and with custom drive train components the top of the hill IMO. See the picture below. Try it, you will like it.
  19. Millennial Theft Proofing my Mustang

I have only done it twice, (pulled the 50A fuse) staying overnight in places I did not trust. As for S550 hoods, I open mine all the time in hot weather at home to let the heat escape. The V6 does not have hood vents. Gas pressurized hood struts are worth the bucks.
