Ok so I've been searching the internet and I'm wondering if I'm going to have a tire fitment problem. This is a NON factory Handling pack car, with aftermarket Handling pack wheels added. All the vendors state on their websites that there could be a fitment issue with these wheels on non HP cars....

So do Handling Pack rims fit on a non Handling pack M1 WITH the correct size tires? Will it effect the speedo? I'm starting to worry these are going to rub with the correct size tires, especially with the lowering springs on it. Maybe that's why it has undersized tires on it now...

Your speedometer will have to be calibrated though, as the non-HP's are calibrated for the 255/275's. Forscan will correct that issue. I also have Steeda Dual Rate springs and no rubbing/clearance issues.

Love 'em. No issues thus far. The ride is a little stiffer, but overall very pleased with the look/performance.

Thanks. My brain is going to melt thinking of tire sizes now. The seller already ordered 305/30s and 315/30s. I didn't realize they were so much smaller in diameter. Hopefully that doesn't kill the ride quality. :-(

I think I talked the seller/dealer into ordering 275/35 and 295/35s instead. They need to check availability. I didn't realize there was such a difference in size between the no HP and HP tire sizes. I really don't want a harsher ride or have to recalibrate my speedo.

It's a mustang not a caddy or Lincoln. Tactile feedback is an essential ingredient.

So it appears, you STILL have not actually confirmed wheel width. Those are probably the FP knockoffs. Pull the rims off and look what's stamped on the casting.

Based on the stretch of the 255 I'll lay money down the front is 10 wide. If so run a 275/40 or 285/35.

If it really is a 10.5 then go for at least 285 and dont be afraid of a 305.

Unless shod with some spectacularly bad tires or /25 profile, the word "harsh" should not cross your lips wrt mustang suspension.

Your speedo being off is no big deal. But do yourself a favor and embrace Forscan. It can fix a LOT of Ford stupid that is just aggravating as hell.

And if you shift fast with manual, it will not be jerky?

Educate me, please. You release clutch slow = you are slow. You release it fast, it tugs a bit.
I enjoyed ton of manual fun with my former Mini Cooper and there was wheel slip even in 3rd gear with its weight and 215 hp Sporty = not fluid.

Lol. I didn't say I wanted a Caddy. The car rides great now, and id like to keep it that way. Going to 315/30 lowers the diameter almost 1.5 inches from stock. That will surely effect the ride in a car not tuned for that size. And yes, the speedo being off by 4-5 mph is a big deal so some including me.

The wheels are OEM HP. Not knock offs. 10.5 wide in front, and 11 wide in the rear. The current 255/40-19s on the front are stretched way past spec and the dealer wont even sell the car like that once I pointed it out. Also they don't make Pilot sports in 305/35-19.

For the record I could shift the Tremec much smother than the 10 speed auto when it was in sport mode.
