The wheels are OEM HP. Not knock offs. 10.5 wide in front, and 11 wide in the rear.
Then run 305 square or something a little narrower up front if that tickles your fancy.

Diameter isn't important. Height of sidewall and construction matters. If you want soft, continental. Stiff(er) Goodyear or Michelin.

Lol. I didn't say I wanted a Caddy. The car rides great now, and id like to keep it that way. Going to 315/30 lowers the diameter almost 1.5 inches from stock. That will surely effect the ride in a car not tuned for that size. And yes, the speedo being off by 4-5 mph is a big deal so some including me.

The wheels are OEM HP. Not knock offs. 10.5 wide in front, and 11 wide in the rear. The current 255/40-19s on the front are stretched way past spec and the dealer wont even sell the car like that once I pointed it out. Also they don't make Pilot sports in 305/35-19.
The difference in ride quality is not nearly as noticeable as you think. I have a stock handling package car and in the winter I run stock non-handling package all seasons. The magneride works wonderfully. The improved handling you will experience by running the correct handling package. Tire sizes is well worth any slight reduction in ride quality, although, as I said, you would be hard-pressed to tell a difference.

As far as the speedometer goes, I am not sure that is even an issue. When I changed to 4.09 gears in my 2018 GT, the car automatically adjusted the speedometer.

Umm diameter and side wall hight go hand in hand. And what tickles my fancy is a diameter as close to the non factory HP spec as possible. A 35 sidewall seems like the a reasonable compromise with these rims. I will be daily driving the car so some road manners need to be maintained. If it where track only that would be different. The sizes I chose where recommended by other M1 owners on this site who run HP wheels on non HP cars. I already said I chose Michelins PS4s which I like quite on my other cars. Unfortunately Michelin doesn't make a 305/35 ps4.

Thats good to know. There is a chance i will be forced to get the HP spec tires, so I'll have to see. But remember this is a NON factory HP car. The HP diameter wheel/tire combo is almost 1.5" smaller than stock non HP cars. And this car isnt tuned for that like yours. Remember, HP cars have different springs.

So yeah it may or may not be that noticeable in the the ride department. But im also leary of the reduced ground clearance and wheel well gaps it would create. Not to mention the speedo being off a decent amount at highway speed.

I ran non-HP wheels and tyres for a year and a half before I made the switch to the full HP setup on my car and agree with @Mikepol2.
In my opinion there's no material difference in ride quality on 305/30 and 315/30 tyres vs non-HP.
I'm happy to trade any marginal differences for the much improved handling.

I did update springs, swaybar andcamber plates at the same time so only have a view on the overall effect so there may be some small difference to your car if some of those parts aren't fitted so YMMV of course!

No worries, you're welcome :)
About 0.4-0.5" so a bit less than the Steeda Dual Rate. I was happy about that as I was worried about clearance with the front splitter!
Don't daily it but have not had any problems with the speed bumps / potholes on our fantastic UK roads yet, but I'm very careful with approaches.

One other thing - I see earlier you'd ordered 295/35 PS4S for the rear. Is that the MO1 Mercedes specific pattern? I could be wrong but don't think there's another option in that size.

If it is, I looked at those and they are a specific application with a lot less tread width: 9.8" vs the 11.7" you get on the standard 315/30 PS4S.
The 305/35 PSS that @Charlemagne runs has almost an inch more tread width at 10.7".
That was a big deal to me so you might want to consider that too.
Tire Rack has all the stats so could be worth checking so you make the right decision for you!

I have no idea what MO1 specific is. I just saw Michelin made a PS4 in that size and I know a couple people here are running them. I cant really go back and change my request again. They already think im nuts. Ill check tire rack. This whole thing is really starting to stress me out.

Alright...so MO1 is for Mercedes...great. thanks for telling me Owen.

Looks like the pilot super sports are BMW specific? Is that a problem? If so looks like Continental is the only option.

Dear lord why does this need to be so Damn difficult?

Yeah, I totally get it - that's why it took me so long to figure out what to do... I learned a lot!

As for the MO1 code... that's denotes a manufacturer specific compound mix and/or pattern, in this case Mercedes. You can find this info after the weight rating of the tyre.
They've usually been developed for a specific application and tested for that car, so might not be the best match for others. Tyres that don't have these codes are more general purpose.

This is the info on the 295/35 from Michelin's site. I couldn't find any others in that size so you might want to check with your tyre supplier, better to do that and get the best tyre for your M1...?

Contis in 285/35/19 and 295/35/19 will work well, forscan for the speedo adjustment or just live with it. Check my post/threads for pics on this set up.

@Owen do you have a good side shot of your car with the stock HP tire package?

My car has Steeda sport lowering springs already. Trying to gauge how it will look.
