My First Ever Car

Hello Everyone!

My name is Tarun and I picked up my first ever car a couple weeks back and I still can't believe it is a 2015 mustang.

Hi,

My name is Fred. I currently own a 2014 S197 but i'm waiting for my new GT PP to arrive. Let me be honest: I bought my SN197 back in July. It's a RR base with the appearance package. Lets be clear, this is probably the most beautiful car i've owned, and I know that because all of the praise I've been getting from people who see it.

My dad is a Ford retiree, so the z plan really comes in handy for me. This is my first post to the board but i've been lingering for weeks just trying to figure out what I want to do first. I love my S197 for how raw and unadulterated it is, but honestly, the S550 just beats it in every manner. My black premium will be here any day now and I plan on kicking it off right with the steeda wheel hop fix and eibach pro springs. I'm very happy to be here and thank you for the audience.

I'm in the UK and after running a Mercury Grand Marquis for a year I'm used to 12mpg with petrol at it's current low price of $8.00/gallon. Quite enjoyed driving the biggest car on UK roads and found it a breeze in London traffic even with the steering on the wrong side. lol

Currently I have a deposit down on a new Mustang in V8 flavour but it's gonna be at least a year until I get the keys.

I've been reading through the reviews thread and found the remarks about the Telegraph article quite interesting, especially the comparisons with the BMW 235i.

Those posts made me look at the BMW UK site and was surprised to see that the base model, which is pretty loaded, is only ÂŁ1000 more than the price of my Mustang on order, which is ÂŁ32,995 on the road.

My daily is a BMW e36 323i which I bought back in 1998, when BMWs were great, small, light and powerful.

I just know that I don't mind spending ÂŁ33k on the new Mustang but would feel rather deflated spending the same money on a new BMW.

Just a thought for some of my European neighbours ie Holland where the GT V8 will cost almost 2.5 times more than the UK model at ÂŁ77,000. Gulp!

Nice to be he here. The Team Shelby forum was too spread out on what Ford is doing. This forum is spot on as far as Ford Performance info.

Long time looker,...finally joined up. Been waiting a long time to get my 5.0. My first car was an 85 mustang 5.0 that my father bought me. Somehow I convinced the wife that the 2015 is for me. Waiting until the snow melts and here I come. Not sure hat color yet. Black or white is where I am at.

2016 Mustang GT
Hello,

Long time lurker, first time poster, and future 2016 mustang GT owner. :headbang:

This all started when I got a chance at test driving a 2013 mustang gt track pack. The torque and power of the 5.0 got my heart pounding and left a huge grin on my face, that is when I new I had to have a 5.0. I mean the 4.6 on my 02 GT just does not compare to the awesome coyote 5.0. So I decided to buy a new 2014 mustang and went to ford's web site to build mine.

The website had a tab at the top that said "future vehicles", out of curiosity i clicked and my love for the S550 began. Then I found this site looking for any new info for the new mustang and returning frequently. Finally decided to register and start posting.

Hey,
My name is Evan. I took delivery of my Deep impact blue premium ecoboost with an auto trans 2 days ago. I love it. Never actually been much of a Ford fan if I'm honest but I got a job selling Fords and I'm for sure learning to love them. This Mustang is by far the nicest car I have owned. I was worried about getting the 4 banger at first but after driving it, I'm sold. I was not expecting it to be so torquey at low RPMs.

Hey, I'm Mark.

I'd like to get a GT in the next year. Been a car enthusiast all my life and live near a track, so would like to get some track days in with it.

Here to learn and share thoughts with other enthusiasts.

Hello from Atlanta! Or at least the metro area.

I've been a mustang fan since my teenage years and my first car was a red '65 coupe, 289 4bbl, with a 3 speed manual. Next was a silver 2000 GT, followed by a Kona Blue 2012 GT, and now a Magnetic 2015 GT.

I considered a BMW 335 before purchasing the 2012 GT, and only then did I realize why I tend to gravitate to V8 Mustangs rather than European performance sedans. The 335 was good, but it was a bit too good. Smooth shifting Auto trans, strong but quiet engine, outside noise almost completely muted. The result was a scientific and hermetically sealed, performance experience. I could picture the team of very intelligent scientists in white lab coats who designed it in Germany.

By Contrast, the Mustang was all fire and passion, every trip to the redline was an event. It communicated clearly through a series roars, snorts, and squeals of rubber. The result was a big eyed, white-Knuckled, cursing in joy thrill ride. Where the BMW felt like it was designed by scientists in a lab, the Mustang felt like it was designed by a Gear Head with an attitude problem, in a back Alley of Detroit. I'm pleased to report that, despite greater creature comforts, the S550 carries on this tradition.
