  1. Charger v Mustang: a Bizzare comparison

Interesting question; yes gearheads are all over it, I get a lot of stares from drivers of other sports cars, sedans. Espescially if they here it start up. Most don't try to race, I think half of them are scared it might be a Hellcat. However, this car doesn't draw the same time of attention...
  2. Charger v Mustang: a Bizzare comparison

Sweet, yeah I'd have been perfectly happy with a Scat pack. Didn't even know about the Daytona till the day I bought it. I do like the Daytona seats and the slightly wider tires.
  3. Charger v Mustang: a Bizzare comparison

Congrats on both! My son went through 2 Mustangs. The rear facing infant seat was a little tough, but once he was in a forward facing seat, we were ok in the Mustang for a couple of years. Still, it'll all be so much easier in the big Charger. What color SP are you getting? I opted for the...
  4. Jumped Ship!

Check these numbers on the Charger Scat Pack: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2015-dodge-charger-r-t-scat-pack-test-review At 4.1 to 60 and 12.4 in the quarter bone stock, a stock Mustang isn't going to match that auto or manual. Course the Mustang would still destroy the heavier car on...
  5. Charger v Mustang: a Bizzare comparison

Right now, yeah I'd do it again, no doubt. I too was hesitant to purchase a Dodge because of reliability concerns, but then again, I haven't had the best of luck with my last two Mustangs. It has a warranty and if I have major issues after that, I'll just ditch it and move on to the next one...
  6. Jumped Ship!

Thanks! Bet that Hellcat is a monster. FYI for those considering a Scatpack: The Daytona 392 is a new for 17 option package. It's essentially a Scat Pack with the wider, 275 tires, and larger brakes from the SRT & Hellcat. Also comes with a factory, open, cold air box which makes some cool...
  7. Charger v Mustang: a Bizzare comparison

C'mon, is that all you got?:) Looks are subjective but the Mustang is the better looking car, I would agree. I didn't car much for the Charger look either until they redid the nose for 15. But, Between that, the bulging hood, the scalloped sides, I think it looks pretty mean.
  8. Charger v Mustang: a Bizzare comparison

If you've seen my other thread (Jumped Ship!), you know by now that I sold my sold to the devil and bought Charger Daytona 392. Even though it's an unnatural comparison, I thought I'd make a right up for anyone else who may be considering the same trade for the same reasons. First off, I've...
  9. Jumped Ship!

Going to try and do a review/comparison of the two soon. The Charger is quicker in a straight line, stock to stock, by a decent margin. Of course, my Mustang would be well quicker around a road course, no doubt. Much more nimble and tossable. I was one who enjoyed driving the mountains of...
  10. Jumped Ship!

Thanks guys, will try to post some pics up. For some reason I've never been able to upload pics here. Looks just like the pick Dominant posted, but mine is black with ghosted, satin black Daytona decals, and satin black wheels.
  11. Jumped Ship!

Thanks! This was exactly the appeal to me.
  12. Jumped Ship!

It is tank, no doubt! I'll miss the Mustang's nimble handling for sure. But the positive side of that trade off is loads of interior space, which is something I was after. It was funny when I pulled into my garage for the first time and parked beside my wife's BMW X3, the Challenger is a...
  13. Jumped Ship!

After owning 4 Mustangs over 25 years, I just jumped ship to Dodge! Traded the Mustang GT-PP on a 17 Charger Daytona Scatpack last night. Apparently the Daytona package is new for 17 and it makes the Scatpack much closer to the SRT trim; wheels, tires, brakes, from the Hellcat/SRT, aftermarket...
  14. What would you get?

Charger it is!! Picked one up last night. Once I test drove it, there was really no going back to the other options. Ended up getting a model I didn't even realize existed (new for 17 apparently): The Daytona Scatpack. Comes with the 392, and all the Scat Pack goodies, plus...
  15. What would you get?

Still keeping the option open to keep the mustang for sure, but I'm at an equity/debt ratio where it makes sense to trade it sooner rather than later unless I want to keep it for the long haul. The brake issue is a minor thing, they still stop just fine. I just hate that I even have to worry...
  16. What would you get?

Thanks for the great input guys! I may go try and test drive some in the next week or so as I'll have some time off for the holidays. I like the idea of the Fusion Sport, but I've always thought the body was oddly narrow looking from the back. Still might be worth a look. To respond to a...
  17. What would you get?

Nice! I had not thought of a pre-owned CTS-V, great idea! Definitely looking to go "lightly used". Something with less than 20K miles.
  18. What would you get?

It's blasphemy I know, but I'm considering trading my Mustang. It's only consideration at this stage and I may still decide to keep it, but we'll see. I have only 11K miles on my 15 GT-PP, don't owe much on it and could use something larger. Not to mention, I have the dreaded brake squeal and...
  19. What mileage, and what repair?

First Month: >Panel alignment >passenger seat leather loose >Rear window replaced (glass distorted) After that I was good up until recently; brakes started squealing like banshees at 10K miles. They put some stop squeal on it, now a little quieter but still squeals front right. TSB only...
  20. Cold Weather Driving On Summer Tires?

Drove my Pzeros year round till they wore out here in North GA. We're not as cold as some parts of NC, but have 4 seasons. You do start to notice a difference below 45 degrees or so, below 40, they feel like flintstone tires. But, as others have said, you're fine if you take it easy on...
