Whats up everybody just purchased a 2017 roushcharged gt, its had american racing longtubes and roush axleback so its loud , any suggestions for a quieter muffler

To be honest, take it to a reputable muffler shop. Most can make you a custom exhaust tailored to what you want it to sound like. Also its almost always cheaper than buying an off the shelf cat back system! You'd also have to most likely get your tune adjusted to deal with the extra back pressure the quiet exhaust will give it.

I just bought a new 2022 GT Premium. I traded in my 2015 with the 3.7 V6. The latter had a Roush cold air intake and axle back exhaust and a few other goodies. I am still taking it easy with the GT during break-in, but I can tell it will be a beast, and I am really enjoying the 10 speed automatic trans. The car has the 12" digital gauges, active exhaust, and the 12 speaker B&O sound system. Since I have owned a S550 for a while, I have learned a lot about them, but eager to learn more.

Hey all! I picked up a 2023 GT in Eruption Green on Feb 18th! I had a 2016 V6 in Guard Green Metallic I owned since 2019 until now. I'm absolutely loving the Gen 3 Coyote and the 10 speed is just pure voodoo magic.

You probably hear it all the time but that color is awesome!!!

With headers, it will always be loud but I would suggest ditching the axleback in favor of a couple Flowmaster Super 44s or 40 Series. They should help quite a bit without sacrificing sound quality.

Been lurking on here for a while, but finally created an account after picking this up on Wednesday last week. 2022 GT 6M 401A in DMG in Missouri City, TX. As of this morning it's got 105.6 miles on it. This is my 3rd Mustang. First was an '89 4cyl convertible that I kept and enjoyed for ~3 years. Second was an '08 Cali Special 5spd convertible that I had for ~4 years. I don't plan to get rid of this one. Better pics and maybe a few mods to come...

BK here, originally from WV, transplanted to central NC. Traded the wife's 18 f150 in on 2020 GT PP1 fully loaded. Black on Black. Roush intake, res delete, H pipe installed. Roush Tune, Carbon fiber driveshaft and 1-inch drop springs in the garage waiting for the time.

Also own a 22 SCLB F250 Godzilla, 17 F150 3.5 Ecoboost, and owned a 22 Lighting for 10 days. lol

So pretty much a Ford homer.

Always meant to join a forum but never have. On my 5th mustang now. Currently own a 2021 Mustang GT 10R80. Never had an auto before but thought I’d give it a shot. Miss rowing gears but the auto def lives up to the performance hype. More mods to come !

Hello Everyone, I'm David.

Thursday morning (3/30/23), barring any last minute shenanigans, I will pick up this new S550 GT Premium. 6spd, 401A, MagneRide, B&O sound, Security, AVP Exhaust, Performance pkg. It will be my 2nd Mustang. The first was a white `85 GT 5spd in 2008. Fun car!

I've been a Pontiac guy when it comes to hot rods most of my 60+ years, Trans-Am's, GTO's. My younger brother now owns my last T/A, an '02 WS6 6pd car.

I wanted a new ride to take with me into retirement and I had an opportunity to live with a 2022 GT for about a week back in August and was completely impressed with it. So here we are!

I originally built a 2022 on Ford . com, Atlas Blue/white stripe, with most all of these options, but was too late to order it, so I commenced to searching. After numerous misses on used cars... I found a similarly optioned `22 Dark Matter, with less than 500 miles, but missed it by a couple hours. Fate?

This one appeared a few days later. Eruption Green was my second choice and has grown on me even more. I don't plan any immediate mods other than tint .. and a stripe, similar to Ford's options.

I'm off to make a post with a question I've yet to find a solution for. All comments are welcome, friends. Interested in how these various options interplay or function, particularly on a 6 spd car?

For my 60th birthday I treated myself to something I have always wanted....a 2022 Mustang GT.

I have owned 5-6 Mustangs of all vintages over the years....but nothing has prepared me for Elsa. She is beautiful. Oxford White with the Performance Package. She is a dream to drive and can't wait to take her to the road track after breaking her in a bit!

Whats up guys my names dave. I currently live in Myrtle Beach and recently sold my 04 Lightning and picked up a Roushcharged 17 GT, its an automatic with arh longtubes and Roush catback so its loud for now. I took the roush stuff off the outside and am thinking of loosing the black stripes as well. It puts down about 680 to the wheels currently. Hope to see some of you around at shows or mustang week

Super excited, im not quite 40 but my first car was a 1990 LX 5.0 and I loved that car. I lent it to my brother because he needed a ride, and it got “stolen” somehow. Now almost 20 years later I am getting back into a mustang and relive them glory years, however this time in more comfort and zoom zoom

Hello all,

Joined a little while back and have been lurking for a while, but just recently ordered/purchased an Iconic Silver 2023 Mustang GT/CS Premium 401A, with the A10, GT Performance Package, MagneRide, Active Valve Performance Exhaust, and Security Package as options. (Missed out on the B&O package due to a dealer mishap.) I'm coming from a Satin Silver Metallic 2006 Mustang V6 Premium w/ Pony Package. I've had it since 2006.. (soo... 17 years now?) and it's currently creeping up on 240k miles. It has been my only vehicle up until the recent purchase on the new one.

I basically ordered the '23 to get it as close as possible to how my '06 looked. I wasn't overly impressed with the S650 design and I wouldn't have been able to configure it with the same options to make it resemble my first car anyway, so I'm glad I was able to pull the trigger on the '23 when I could!

Just wanted to add I've read a lot of decent info from the forum here over the past couple of months and I appreciate the input and positive vibes from the members here, also I figured it's as good a time as any to finally say hello!
