Hello everyone. My name is Carl I live in Wisconsin. I'm lucky to get 6 months of use out of my convertible, but I love it. This is my 2nd mustang convertible. 1st one was a 2015 triple yellow 50th anniversary edition with a 2.3L ecoboost. I just couldn't get it to sound like I wanted it to, so I ordered out the 2020 GT in Grabber Lime. I figure you might as well be seen from a mile away. First mod was a Ford Performance X pipe on and now it has the sound I was looking for. Thinking about adding the FP GT tune and some different wheel. Something with black and metallic look to it. Solid black wheels are a little too much black IMO. I look forward to your knowledge and pictures of some really nice machines.

Hey guys, I'm Eric, I live in Michigan. I picked up a 2018 GT350 last week and drove it back to Michigan from Texas (Thanks @Understeer ). Great 3 day trip, awesome car, BBQ in Texas was a bit better than the BBQ I got in memphis. Here's a picture of it with my old ride (as soon as I sell it)

Guess I never noticed this post. I’m in NE Texas. This is my 2nd Mustang, bought a DIB auto 2013 in 2012 and kept it a couple years. I come from a LS background, had 4 LS F-bodies and a RCSB truck, and did a LS/T56 swap in my ‘69 Firebird back in ‘04. Been with Dept of Defense as a mechanic for 19 years, did a couple overseas, and had 8 years off and on as a police officer during this time.

Just picked up a 2018 Mustang GT Base with 5k on it and will be modding it the way I want. My first Mustang was a 91 GT that I still miss to this day.

Name is Tubby. Live in the good ol’ PNW. Not new to Mustangs. My first car was a 1969 Coupe that my dad and I restored. After moving out had to do the responsible thing I sold it and got a more reliable car so I got a 1998 GT. After trading that in I stuck with trucks for a little while once I started my “career”. A couple years after that, I purchased another 69 Coupe which proved to be too much of a project (we all need to experience that heartache once in a lifetime). Sold that, got a 66 beetle (yeah I know weird, but I grew up around them), sold that and saved up to get a really nice 66 coupe. Fuel injected that, did some other things to it and sold that, which basically doubled what I paid for it. Then I bought a real nice 1993 Cobra which I loved, but sold it because I was more worried about getting stolen or damaged because it was too nice and relatively rare. I took it to a lot of car shows and it won a lot of awards here in WashingtonSo now I have an all original patina 69 FJ40, yeah a weird choice but they are cool.
The other day I’m taking the wife to get her Telluride serviced and we drove past the Ford dealer and we see someone test driving a 2020 Bullitt and she says “wow sell your truck and get one of those”. I didn’t know if she meant my Tacoma or my FJ40 but it got me interested in another Mustang. I’m too busy to restore another one, and I don’t really want something I will constantly worry about in the garage so this would be fitting. So the research and planning begins. Whew.

So I’ve been looking online at dealers and noticed there is a lack of inventory, which I understand. I will probably order one instead or buy one if I can find one. Definitely will be a performance pack car. Manual or auto is fine with me.

I take it when the window sticker says GT Performance Package, that means a PP1 correct?

whew again.

Hello; New here today. I have a reason for joining this forum. That being I have been figuring to buy a new Mustang GT. Attempted such already but had some failures along the way. More about that later.

I do not own a Ford product now. I have owned Fords in the past. Full sized ford vans and an F-150 pickup, all prior to 2004. In 2004 my F-150 was totaled and due to financial consideration I wound up with a Chevy Silverado. A story perhaps worth telling but not here.

To my reason for joining the forum. I have shopped the new Mustang GT's a few times using a strategy with flaws. Came close to a deal a couple of times but something happened each time so far. Might be decent stories but not in this thread.

To the point finally. I have suspended my search for a new Ford with a V8 because of some unsettling information I discovered a few weeks ago. Short story is I was about to trade the Chevy for a leftover 2019 F-150 with the generation 3 coyote V8. Had the deal I wanted and was about to start the process of removing the truck bed box from the Chevy, but was waiting for the rain to stop. To use the time I began to search for bed steps to add to the truck. Found some steps but ran across articles about excessive oil consumption in the new version of the Coyote V8's.

To be sure I have already done lots of searching on that topic, including this forum. I became concerned enough to walk form the F-150 deal when I read the Ford TSB about the oil consumption. Figured any issue that warrants a TSB ought to taken seriously. I think I have read all the posts in two threads in this forum plus looked at many other places on the web.

Now being a member here I hope to ask for insight about the oil consumption in terms of what is the latest information available and more specifically about where to look for such information. I have talked to the service managers at two dealerships and was told they cannot give me any information about the issue. I was wanting to find out, if possible, what sort of numbers of engines are affected. No luck even after I contacted Ford directly. I still do not know if the problem is in only a small fraction of engines or may be more wide spread. I still want to buy a new Mustang GT but also want to know more about the coyote V-8.

The last Ford engine I rebuilt was back in 1987. A 351 W out of a Ford E-150 van. I spun a crank bearing one afternoon.

( And yes I am long winded in my posts)

Hey everyone my name is Em. I’ve been on and off of here since last year when I got myself a 16 gt in August. I would love to meet up with some people in Northern VA to learn more about my car and get some good advice from.

Thanks...
Hi all, I'm back again. I had to sell my 16 gt last year and decided to chill out for a while. I bought another 16 gt recently but manual this time and metallic blue vs the orange gt I had. I'm loving it as always and just wanted to hop back on here. I'll post some pictures later.
