Hello, my name is Patrick. I had a Ford Ranger when I was 15 and haven't had a Ford since then. I was dead set on ordering a Camaro, but decided to look at the Mustang and do my homework. I believe the Mustang will be a better car in every category compared to the Camaro, so I ordered my very first Mustang. I cannot wait to see my 2015 DIB Mustang GT sitting in my garage. I just might be sleeping in it a few nights :)
Welcome! This will be my first mustang as well.... can't wait!

Wow, this forum has made me Mustang wise, so much quality information on everything Mustang. This forum is invaluable for knowing features, pros, cons and opinions. So, thank you everyone for making me knowledgeable about our Mustang

I'm 67 and retired military, like many others on these forums. Among my past vehicles is a Mustang convertible from back in the 70's, and I currently have a 08 Miata so I've found my heart is in a convertible and I ride top down whenever possible, yes even when it's cold. Heated seats are nice.

My next purchase is a 2015 Mustang EB Premium Convertible, CO, manual, with options, ordered today. The waiting begins. Anyway, happy to be here.:)

Great forum!
Since the Mustang and I are the same age (I was a February delivery) hubby thought the 2015 Mustang would be the perfect early gift! I ordered the GT Premium, 400A, 6-speed auto, 50 Years appearance package in Competition Orange. I know - the manual transmission is more fun to drive. Couldn't decide on color - narrowed it down to red or orange and since I've had a red car for the last 6 years, orange won. Might name her Peaches but once I see her, it might change. Current build date is 10/20/14 - we'll see. Thanks for all the information everyone posts!

Welcome! Your car and mine are mechanically very similar and scheduled the same date. Imagine that!

Hi all! I'm Joe from Redondo Beach, CA. and I have been checking this forum on and off since last Winter.

I was really blown away by the steps Ford took to improve this iconic car, and I think it represents a fantastic mix of design, performance, and fun for a wide price range.

Anyway, I finally caught the bug and recently ordered a GT Premium in Guard. This will be a uh..."substantial" upgrade from my Hyundai Accent, haha!:D

Whoa. I just checked the COTUS website, and it's showing that my build date was moved up from 10/27 to 10/17. Here's how it reads: "currentBuildDate": "2014-10-17" The Build Week is still showing as 10/26, however.

Anyway, hope the new build day is correct. Can't get it soon enough. Good luck to everyone else who's waiting on theirs.

Well, looks like that was a fluke on COTUS. It's now back to showing the build date as 10/27.:frusty:

Hello all, I go by Wiz. This will be my first Mustang ever owned. Growing up as a kid I was always surrounded by American Muscle Cars (Uncle owned 66 Stingray, 69 Camaro SS, Grandfather owned a Chevelle)

I came to admire American muscle and used to fantasize about owning a 72 Riviera. To me nothing beats the sound of a nice V8.

My first car was an 03 Altima and now this car an 09 Civic Coupe, I've never owned a 6 or an 8 cylinder. I'm expecting my mind to be blown once I drive this '15 Monster.

I've seen some reviews saying the car doesn't feel that fast but I'm willing to bet it's so well put together you'll be hitting 80 MPH and won't even realize it. This is how it was on a Challenger rental car I had recently. That was just the base 6 Cyl model....can't imagine a 5.0 with 435 Horses and 400 torque at the flywheel.

Bought a 2005 GT in 2008. Sold it in 2010. Missed having a Mustang ever since, and will be ordering a new one soon.

Can't remember everything I had done, but I put in FRPP Hot Rod cams, 4.10 gear, MGW shifter, Long tubes, O/R-H, Bassani Race axle-backs, JLT intake. It was a beast.

Here is a pic (original owner put the GT-350 side stripes on).

Hello everyone. Nice to see so many are passionate about the new Mustang. I told my self I would never buy a new car again (last one was a 04 GT new) and never to get a regular mustang (i.e. GT, V etc.). Well after owning my 03 Cobra (after selling my 04 due to no go power) for the last 9 years, it is time for something new. I have had it since 2005 and it makes 600+ (old tune, 2.3 Whipple) wearing a new 2.9 Whipple. Needs a tune and for sure since new TB and blower is much more efficient than the older stocker and 2.3 Whipple. It still rips like crazy and partly why I will be getting a new GT. Love the Cobra... but it is very wild on the street and pretty sure that at 21LBS it seems sometimes it makes over 650 and ???? torque which is a hand full on the street.

Ordered me a 15 GT PP (Magnetic, ALL options possible..stock seats however as the Recaro's don't heat/cool and not far from the stockers in bolstering) about a week ago. Ordered it through AAFES Car Sales as I am in the military and not looking for a shady deal at a dealer back home. Cant wait to get it in and do some obligatory mods of course. This time I think I will STILL put a blower on it but keep it at the 600 or less HP level. Glad to see the IRS in the car, new tech (very excited about that), interior design, exterior looks, standard features VERY well done in the PP package. No 4x4 look even without the PP package. The thing just looks menacing right from the factory. All Ford could have really done to make it meaner is the quad exhaust will the GT500 mufflers and BAM... no need to upgrade. But since I love to wake the neighborhood and love the sound a 32 valve makes... Stainless Works Full Exhaust will be ordered as soon as those slackers get a set manufactured. A FRPP blower kit with factory tune/warranty will be put in that sucker as well once it is out on the street and some real data is collected.

Looking forward to more info and pictures from all the luck owners. Ford really stepped it up a HUGE notch to be converting a Terminator owner. Great job FORD!!!

My name is Justin, and I am an alcoholic. Well, not really. Just another guy who ordered a car and is waiting patiently.

This will be my first Mustang, but certainly not my first Ford. I almost took the plunge on a '12 Track Pack 5.0, and then a '13 FST... but neither of them seemed like a perfect match for me.

I kept telling myself I would wait to get one until I sat in one (and sold my garage queen), but I caved and ordered a 6MT EB Premium in Magnetic w/ Dark Saddle (after my other car sold a LOT faster than I expected). Of course it needed the PP and Nav, but those were the only options checked. I just ordered it last week, so I have a long wait ahead of me still.

Current DD is a 1998 Crown Vic, LOL. I bought it last year as a winter beater. Pretty stock, except I had the steel wheels custom made. 17x9 +3mm w/ 275/40's all around.

The garage queen was my Mazda3. It only turned into a garage queen because after I had it detailed I was too lazy to keep washing it so I stopped driving it.

I'm excited to get my car, and the wait might just kill me... so I might not ever get to enjoy it.
