Hello. New old guy here. I just bought a 2020 Kona blue base GT 301A with the 10 speed auto. Its got 100 km on it and I'm thinking about mods already. I'm a tinkerer I guess. I've owned a lot of cars but no Fords in the last 30 years unless you count my '92 F250 that I inherited. I've been doing some reading and trying to educate myself on mods I have in mind. Matt

Want to change Screen Name.....

A belated hello, as I have been a member for over a year and don't recall if I did a proper intro before.....

Having said that, I'd like to change my screen name. Apologies for posting here but I have not found anywhere else on the forum that indicates how I might do this. The reason I want to change is that I used my (new last year) vanity plate as my screen name, only to find out that there was another blue mustang in my (small 3000 pop.) town with virtually the same plate, but for one small change (no hyphen)! I was extremely surprised the State allowed me to get the plate. I did not think it fair to the other owner to keep the plate so I dropped it. This year I have a new vanity plate (BLU P51) and would like to change my screen name to that. Would appreciate any instruction on how to do that.

Thanks!

Hello Everyone!

I'm Joel and I'm out in Oregon. Just joined up after having my S550 for about a year and a half now. Not my first Mustang though. (Pics included)
Originally had an '89 LX 5.0 convertible, then a 2013 Mustang Club of America Premium V6. (Actually miss this car as it was my first brand new car ever. But couldn't keep it and the S550 both.)

My current baby is a 2016 GT Premium PP with 6 speed in Deep Impact Blue. I'm the second owner, and I've added a few things to what the original owner had started. I changed out all the emblems for black from Ford. They were just painted before, and I'm a stickler. I also had the heat extractors painted gloss black to go with the black spoiler I installed. Really love the black accents with the dark blue. Done a few other things that you can't see and hoping to do some suspension and brake stuff soon. I'll post my other mods if anyone is interested.

I'm hoping to learn some things from everyone, and get some questions I have answered as well. Things like brake rotor and pad upgrades (to eliminate squealing and brake dust from the Brembros), sway bar and end links, and an engine sound I haven't heard before. Just have to keep searching through everything.

Hope to meet some fellow Mustang fans soon. Thanks for reading. Joel

Heya folks, Evil_Merlin here. From New Hampshire. Been a Mustang guy for a LONG time.

First Mustang: a beat up 1969 my neighbor gave me when I turned 16. It was a wreck that barely ran, but it was mine.
1987 Mustang LX V8 (black)
1999 Mustang GT (silver) my first new Mustang.
2003 Mustang Mach 1 (azure blue). Didn't touch it. Had issues with the dealer and ended up suing and Ford got involved bought the car back which leads to the next...
2004 Mustang Cobra (screaming yellow). MANY mods. Whipple 2.4L supercharger, Kooks ceramic long tubes, Bassani X-pipe, Borla Stinger Catbacks. Lots of little mods to keep the huge supercharger fed. Sold this one when I moved to MA because of insurance issues.
2013 Mustang GT (GHIG). Not much done just a Ford Racing axle back.
2016 Mustang GT (3Y). Lots of mods.

And now I've returned to the fold after a couple of years. I had to sell the Mustang to get reliable (winter) transport that could help with the farm and such, so I traded the 2016 in for a 2018 Explorer (Sport).

Today I picked up a new to me 2016 GT Premium, with Preformance Pack. Its just like my old 2016, except this one was built at the end of Job2. The first one was the FIRST week of Job1. My old one had the Recaros. This one has the Premier Trim with the leather and yellow thread. Looks great. Here is a shot of it when I closed the deal on Monday. I picked it up today.

This had only 4700 (yes 4700) miles on it. Previous owner added Ford Racing Sport Exhaust (by Borla), Roush CAI setup, as well as some cosmetics, like the MMD louvers.

The procharger does not disappoint at all. Current trans is the MT28. Clutch install will be next after OPG and crank sprocket

I’m Matt, first time Mustang owner out of central Texas. Last November I grabbed me a 2019 Mustang GT premium with the PP1, active exhaust, and magneride included. So far I’m running a front splitter, smooth deck lid, blacked out 5.0 badges on the sides and gloss black pony on the grill. I recently installed a catback Borla Atak with active exhaust and it sounds amazing. Next step is closed box cold air intake and a tune. Also considering a ZL1 wickerbill.

Hi, I'm Alan.

I bought my first Mustang last year and it's my daily driver. I made it through this winter without ever getting stuck or losing control. Thank you 17" wheels and Blizzaks. But just in case, I added front and rear tow hooks so anyone with an SUV or truck could pull me out. Along the way, I wanted better visibility and to be seen better so I added fog lights, including the rear one. I've used Forscan before, so I made all the changes I wanted.

Right now, I'm trying to to fit the GT Outlaw axle back exhaust on my Ecoboost. I currently have the EB Outlaw exhaust but the tow hook didn't look right having to be cut in, and so I put on the GT rear valance which didn't look right without a quad exhaust...

Kinda new around here so I was just wondering, is there an appropriate place to post a horror story about a dealership where I had work done... don’t want anybody to suffer the same fate I did.

Welcome RaceRed. You can share with me... l took my Black Shadow Mustang for its 1st 12 month service June 2019 a free service...... At the Dealers. Waited in showroom, finally Manager said car is ready, HOWEVER... SORRY....... We damaged your Brand New Mustang...........rear Wheel arch crumpled on the flat area.......Accidents happen but ffffffffff....... me. Yes they got it fixed, took a few days - probably thrashed it as well. Last service, last week, I paid for it and the mechanic was a mobile one. I had seen his work.....I will not let the car out of my sight in the future with any mechanics. Least now I know what quality oiI I am getting and I can damage it myself.
