No resonator on 2022s - that's interesting to know! I did a resonator delete with the CVF Y-pipe on my 2017 and am very happy with it. A little more sound, slightly deeper tone and seemingly a little better throttle response. No drone whatsoever. I wonder if the 2022 stock mufflers are the...
I am running the CVF Y-pipe with stock mufflers and like it. A bit deeper and louder at startup and under heavier throttle. I'm actually surprised at how good (and different) it sounds on a narrow urban street with buildings on both sides! At cruising speeds under light throttle, barely...
Good choice & value IMO. I have the CVF Street intercooler and have been very pleased with the product (and service). Same with their resonator delete Y-pipe.
I question this - The larger Airaid molded intake tube fits all Ecoboost Mustangs 2015 thru 2021. If the round transition/connection from square airbox to intake tube was different size, the Airaid tube would not fit universally for all years. Am I misunderstanding what is being referenced??
Pix would be very helpful. I am running a stock tune with Airaid intake tube, free flow filter, and upgraded intercooler. My exhaust has deleted resonator/CVF Y-pipe, stock mufflers but with larger outlet pipes with 4" tips. On a totally cold startup there is about a 2 second duration...
Probably 1) because it would then become a service item (emptying periodically) that many(most?) owners would not get done. And 2), not necessary to satisfy warranty parameters or 3) to provide satisfactory performance and engine longevity for most consumers. 4) Cost to include.

As indicated, I have experienced zero drone with top down or top up on my convertible. You might research here and also on the Mustang Ecoboost.net Forum - there are several informative threads about Y-pipe/resonator delete.....and specifically the CVF pipe.. Those helped me decide on this...
Well.....I am running stock mufflers but removed the center resonator and installed the CVF Y-pipe. It is a little louder and deeper sounding (actually my wife's description), but primarily when applying throttle, and on decel. Not a big change, but noticeable and a bit better sound IMO...
Really appreciate your additional feedback, Chef......very helpful. Probably makes no functional/economic sense to change what I have now, but I still am strongly considering the Injen intake just for the clean aesthetics and a bit more intake sound. I'm still running stock tune, but with CVF...
Hi Chef!
Now that you have had the Injen intake installed for a few weeks, wondering if you are still satisfied with it? Curious if you have any further observations/opinions about sound, throttle response, and power - all compared to stock Airbox with Airaid Tube and high flow drop in...
Thanks for the reply, Chef.....
I do think that system is probably the cleanest looking, most integrated intake design available. I'm currently running stock box/Green filter/Airaid tube. Satisfied with it performance-wise, but may consider Injen for aesthetics/sound if there is no detriment...
Want to change Screen Name.....
A belated hello, as I have been a member for over a year and don't recall if I did a proper intro before.....
Having said that, I'd like to change my screen name. Apologies for posting here but I have not found anywhere else on the forum that indicates how I...
I have been considering a tune for a year but have not done it yet .....and may not.
My recommendations, in order:
- run 93 octane or closest you can get ( I see you are already doing this)
- verify/set or replace spark plugs with gap @ 0.028
- run in sport/sport+ mode for performance driving...
I can't speak from a lot of direct experience, as I just got my CVF street intercooler installed yesterday. However, I have considered replacing the stock intercooler for almost a year and researched it extensively. I am still running the stock tune in conjunction with relatively mild intake...
