  1. 2018-19 Mantic clutch owners

I also ended up having issues with the mantic 2018 (organic) clutch. Using a professional tech, he said the clutch would not disengage when pressing the pedal down after installation. He made sure everything was done right and was bled correctly. I'm gonna have to go ahead and have the stock...
  2. Best power adder for grudge racing

Get it going high 10 NA then add a bit of nitrous after you've hooked off the line? I'd build a car with traction as the priority for the street.
  3. 2018 Mustang GT Non-pp Manual gear ratio question

Well I'm hopefully getting the car back by the end of this week and it will have 4.09's and a mantic organic clutch installed, as well as a tri ax short throw. If no issues come up I'll make a write up about how it's driving and probably make some videos too. As far as the 4.56's, I agree they...
  4. 2018-19 Mantic clutch owners

I'm getting a mantic organic clutch and 4.09 gears installed right now at a shop. Hopefully I'll have it back in a couple weeks and I'll let you know how it feels.
  5. What Is The "Perfect" Budget Specification Build For A Base 2019 Mustang GT?

For me its a base 18 mt82, ford performance track pack suspension, light weight performance wheels and tires, stop the hop kit and 4.09 gears will be my basic setup. From there I'm thinking cat deletes and an e85 tune for the extra hp if I ever feel i need it.
  6. I really hate factory installed strut bolts

Thank you for the reminder! Yes I did raise it up with a jack last night but I think I raised it too much. I just now raised it maybe only and inch or two up and I was able to wack those suckers off! So for anyone's future reference for me it took: a 4lb hammer, turning the wheel to make the...
  7. 2019 Mustang GT manual weird sound question.

My car had a second gear whining noise the fist 1500 miles or so, it's gone away. It also had the clutch squeaking noise pretty bad and that's mostly gone away. Idk man these pieces of junk are noisy. If it ain't functionally problematic don't sweat it imo. Get an axleback and drown out the bad...
  8. I really hate factory installed strut bolts

Sorry to revive an old thread but I found it from a google search. Oh man these splined bolts are not fun. Lot's of good info in this thread but even with all the info I've gathered and used from it including turning the wheel, putting the nuts on flush and backwards and using a 4lb hammer...
  9. The true reason unveild behind Gen3 coyote tick. According to MPR racing engines

copper was 6, says the average is 3. Some of my metals were higher and some lower than average. But the description said the wear looked normal for an engine with about 1k miles more than I have. I attribute that to the abuse it's taken. Like I've said, it makes nothing but good noise after 2k...
  10. 2018 Mustang GT Non-pp Manual gear ratio question

The problem with the 2018-19 3.55 mt82 is the gears are just too long for this high revving engine imo. You could do a 1/4 mile pass only using the first 3 gears probably still trap 110 if you were willing to hit the limiter. The longer first gear also makes it harder to launch because it's easy...
  11. The true reason unveild behind Gen3 coyote tick. According to MPR racing engines

No I don't remember those things, but I will say I also work at an auto plant, and I know things go wrong, but using the wrong part (like f150 pistons) should be a traceable issue that would happen to a certain batch of vehicles before the error was realized. Hypothetically, if they put the...
  12. The true reason unveild behind Gen3 coyote tick. According to MPR racing engines

I did tear open the filter and didn’t find anything in there. I also watched the oil flow out of the drain with a high power light and never saw any flakes or anything. You have a good point though and if my car does have an issue I’ll update you guys but I’m personally not going to stress over it.
  13. The true reason unveild behind Gen3 coyote tick. According to MPR racing engines

In the video I mention the guy claimed he measured it and it was still in spec in the comments. If it's in spec but still has that movement, could it not be part of the design? Basically I think the tick is something ford deems acceptable because it doesn't cause any harm and is only more...
  14. The true reason unveild behind Gen3 coyote tick. According to MPR racing engines

They obviously know more than me about engines, but I'm sorry, they just have too much inherent bias for me to not look at anything they say very skeptically. And again, I'm no expert, but I think the f150 pistons in a mustang engine explanation is ridiculous and quite a reach..but it would be a...
  15. The true reason unveild behind Gen3 coyote tick. According to MPR racing engines

Just got my oil analysis back from Blackstone labs. My car has had the tick and 2kish rattle noise since 800 miles and it's loud. The oil that was sent in for analysis was used from 1k miles to around 4300 miles. In that time I beat the ever living crap out of the car. Launching it from a stop...
  16. Burning clutch with line lock

I completely understand being nervous about beating on a car that expensive. I felt the same and I just have a gt not a bullit. But with the line lock, the safest thing to do feels like you are beating on it at first, you gotta get those tires moving somehow and this car doesn't have that super...
  17. Burning clutch with line lock

I've done 3 successful burnouts using track apps line lock and had 1 failed attempt. On the 3 successful ones, I confidently sent it to 3.5kish and dumped that clutch resulting in a smooth burnout. The feature really works great once you get used to it, I love how you can unlock the breaks after...
  18. Which traction aids?

I just added the sub frame brace from steeda after upgrading from 235 all seasons to 285 high performance tires on a stock mt82 18 gt. It made surprisingly big difference. With just the tire upgrade, i was getting a lot of wheel hop. The brace helped with wheel hop and the car started hooking...
  19. I searched but...anyone break 4 seconds 0 - 60 with a manual tranny?

I'm curious about this as well. I'd like to be able to do a sub 4 on street tires in my 18 gt mt82. It's a base model and with the stock long gears and all season 235's the best i could get was a 4.9 and that wasn't very consistent. It would either spin or hop. So I've now put on OZ racing 19's...
  20. 18+ gt positive talk no motor issues

My car has the tick occasionally and the diesel sound. It has since under 1k miles. I have no worries though because it runs so strong. I don't think it will be an issue.
