input needed for reliable exhaust

So I want an exhaust real bad but im wondering if there is particular brand that is most reliable being that I dont want to buy an exhaust, void the exhaust warranty, and have it break within a few thousand miles. Can anybody recommend reliable exhaust companies that can last for 50/60/70k miles? My car is my DD so gotta make sure she lasts a while.
Currently looking at Solo performance and magnaflow competition.

Out of all exhaust components i've read about in this site, i've only seen people post about their Ford Racing X pipe cracking. Everything else should be reliable.

So I did a search for Ford Racing x-pipe cracking and I only come up with your posts (and they are many) and one other - krahooliga - but that's it. Can you point us towards these many other posts please so we can read up and do research? Thanks

My understanding is that Borla is a solid company, a bit pricey, but solid. Maybe they had a bad batch or something a long time ago. I just want to make sure we are not just labeling a suitable option based on one or maybe two isolated incidents in the past. I am sure if we research every company we do business with, we will find one or two instances where they product failed.

Check out Corsa, I just bought their Sport cat-back and the fit, finish, and quality is phenomenal. Pricey for sure, but so far it seems worth. My car is my DD too.

It depends on what you trying to do really. You can get axle backs in 304 stainless steel and they will out last the factory 430 stainless steel.

I've gone through many exhaust system and I ended up staying with SOLO, I was either going to get Corsa or SOLO. Came down to tone for me, I loved how solo sounds and went with it. Have had no problems other than neighbors complaints from it at all .

Hmmmnnn, I hope that doesn't happen to me. Waiting on my FR sport quad X pipe with valance. Going to inspect the heck out of them

With the S550 model only being out two years, gluing to be tough to find anyone with 50/60/70k miles on aftermarket exhaust. I can tell you my Solo catback has survived 1000 miles without any problem.

Exhaust doesn't really fail. It's just steel welded together. All will last about the same especially on the west coast where you don't have the salt and stuff to erode through the steel.

Now sound is a completely different matter. Some definitely sound better than other. That's what I'd go after. Get one that sounds how you like.

Thanks guys. I like the deeper toned exhausts and not really too loud, so corsa is a bit loud. I really like the Solo Mach XV so ill probably go with it unless something changes. Thanks for everyones input though!:cheers::cheers:

If you want reliable you want something made with 304 stainless steel. Just remember that you get what you pay for in aftermarket car parts.

I've had a Borla X Pipe crack quicker than a Ford Racing Stainless Steel X Pipe.

Borla wouldn't replace it anyways so it's almost a moot point. Find the one you want, as long as it's not an eBay exhaust you'll be fine.
