Well, it seems that my GT500 has developed the 'tick". Sounds almost exactly the same as my 2019 Mustang GT... Anybody else notice this? I was hoping that the GT500 didn't inherit this trait.. Happy Thanksgiving by the way!

Which tick are you referring to? My drivers window has started clicking a bit while going fully up or down, and also my steering rack clicks when at full lock sometimes.

and you are certain its not injector pulse?
Yeah, I'm sure. I will make a video to share. It sounds exactly the same as my 19 GT did. Started after the first oil change, which is common for this. Ford says it is "A normal characteristic of the engine" I'm not really worried about it, just wondering if others are seeing the same thing.

Mine doesn't tick and I'm at 13k knock on wood but I've always noticed the passenger side of the engine when I put my head down by the tire to listen has more clatter noise than the drivers side but hell that could be anything. I'd just start doing an oil analysis every oil change and not worry too much about it.

I switched to Amsoil when I did the first oil change and it came back on the oil analysis that Amsoil is a much better oil than Ford Motorcraft. They even told me I could run longer intervals with it. Blackstone labs are some top notch guys highly recommend them.

I've had nothing but good oil analysis reports from blackstone using motorcraft 5w50. They never told me to use amsoil. After some torturous track weekends, zero shear and lots more life.

They never had anything bad to say about the Motorcraft just told me that with the Amsoil it looked like I could go a bit longer between intervals.
