  1. Per Ford (officially) the 2011-2019 F150/Mustang 5.0 “Typewriter Tick” is a normal characteristic

A lot people, me included, developed the tick well BEFORE the first oil change. That throws a wrench in a lot of theories.
  2. Per Ford (officially) the 2011-2019 F150/Mustang 5.0 “Typewriter Tick” is a normal characteristic

Ford specifically said that the tick is an “operating characteristic of the 5.0L engine and no repairs should be attempted.” I guess they didn't say "normal" but that is implied.
  3. Per Ford (officially) the 2011-2019 F150/Mustang 5.0 “Typewriter Tick” is a normal characteristic

One would think that Ford knows what it is, that it's NOT a normal operating characteristic, and that they would actually fix it starting with the 2024 new model. But, we shall see.
  4. 2023 Official Mach 1 Order Tracking Thread

Are the Mach 1's still being built at 480HP or have they been bumped down like a GT?
  5. How do I use Line Lock?

This marks the end, happening before your eyes.
  6. Mach 1 vs Camaro SS 1LE

I think technically you are right. But, in the enthusiast, sports car world, that's not reality. Sure, everyone has different criteria that runs the spectrum for what is a great sports car to them. But, let's be real. As evidenced by this and other forums, relative performance is a factor...
  7. Mach 1 vs Camaro SS 1LE

Well, b/c car enthusiasts talk about cars, compare cars and specs, engage on forums about cars, enjoy the banter, the rivalry, etc. That's why.
  8. Mach 1 vs Camaro SS 1LE

I don't give a shit if Camaro dies tomorrow. I just had the urge to correct an ignorant comment on this thread.
  9. Mach 1 vs Camaro SS 1LE

I did read your uniformed post. Go do some research; read some articles. Yes, we know the chip shortage has affected everyone to varying degrees. The fact that your Mach 1 took 6 months to get has nothing to do with what is going on at GM, how they allocate their few chips, what plants they...
  10. Mach 1 vs Camaro SS 1LE

Not hard to believe - I'm talking about 2021 sales. The chip shortage - you've heard of it right? That's the reason for nearly non-existent 2021 camaro sales. Production ceased for months and there is next to no inventory nationwide. That said, yes, the decline in sales over 10 years has...
  11. My Bolt on 2018 Mustang GT vs 2021 Camaro ZL1

Cool. Not me; but my son will be a Sophomore there (Elec.Eng.) this fall.
  12. Anybody driven the 1LE Camaro?

I'm considering foregiong my M1 order for a '22 ZL1. Not sure yet. I did take a 2017 ZL1 for a short drive a while back and was extremely impressed with the get up and go. Not enough seat time at all though to really appreciate it, or the driving dynamics. When I gave it more throttle when I...
  13. Anybody driven the 1LE Camaro?

    Would you drop another $10G over the M1 (A10) and get a ZL1 (A10)? That's something I'm debating.
  14. My Bolt on 2018 Mustang GT vs 2021 Camaro ZL1

    Did you go to A&M?
  15. Ordered cars

I wouldn't get too excited; from when I started getting emails, my updates went like this for production weeks: Sept 13, August 30, August 23, August 16, August 9, then back to August 23 a week ago.
  16. Has anyone ordered a Mach 1 yet

That Priority 1 doesn't seem to do a lot; at least that's my sense (in my case).
  17. End of the Line

This is going to be a gradual shift to all electric over probably a 30-40 year period, in my estimation. I suspect few new ICE cars will be for sale on or after 2035 or so (or at least selection will be greatly reduced). Then, you need another 20 years or so to use and retire most ICE cars...
  18. End of the Line

Cuss and discuss: Well, this video will have you thinking about the not so distant future, V8s, value, collectibility, obsolecence, nostalgia, end of an era, change, etc.
