so go to the next town. Or look at what Gas Buddy says. Here in ol' Virginny the spread is about 50 cents at el' Costco. Or Marathon is having a refinery/pipeline issue.
Gas Buddy has saved my ass a few times.

I would be LOVING prices like that up here in Canada. The picture in the OP converts to about $1.26 a litre. The last time I was up north 91 octane was like $2.20 Canadian a litre. I no longer have the C43 and have only put Ultra 94 in the Mustang so far, which would be even more expensive and not readily available up north where my mom lives (3 hours north of Toronto for us Canucks)

Although some guys said I could still take the Mustang up north and use 91. It won't hurt the car or the supercharger as long as I'm not riding it like a red-headed stepchild.

Here in the people's republic regular is $3.20 and premium is $4. When it's cold I don't worry about octane (other than meeting minimum requirements). I know I'm not going to use the full power of the engine at any time, since the roads and my snow tires leave me without as much grip. And intake air is cool.

Having said that, the Mustang is parked and the GR86 recommends 93. At least the 86 gets better fuel economy.

No one has an issue with $5 per gal. for milk?

😁
I don't drink milk. Too much sugar.

Your car will run fine with regular. The computer will figure it out.
If you're worried about gas though, go trade in the Stang for an Elantra.

Not to be unsympathetic, my fuel bill is 6-700 a week(diesel). The premium price bump for unleaded is the least of my worries. I’ll bow out before I dumpster fire this thread with what the true issue is that lays to the east. :curse:

I paid $2.23 for E85 today. Premium was $3.15
So your price for E85 is about 70% of the price for premium E10.
Are you getting 70% of the gas mileage you used to get on gasoline?

I doubt it.
Gallon-for-gallon ethanol has half the chemical energy of gasoline. E85 has 60% of the energy of E10.

If you’re paying 70% of the price for 60% of the gas mileage, you’re paying more to drive than if you stuck to gasoline.

😜

Exactly and they never seem to mention their "state gas tax". They should ask their governors to suspend it.

As much as some of you want to make this political, it wasn’t and it still is not. It’s geographical.

Nationally gas prices are lower than last month and last year.

Not sure what been going on around here but I'm not complaining. It's been this way for about 2 weeks at one station.

Our gas prices have dropped quite a bit in the last week or so, but it was equivalent to about US$4.38 (91) for one of your gallons today when I filled up.

i can't believe you guys are complaining about those prices that gas is really cheap. I paid $6.90 for diesel and 6.97 for 91 octane
I'd love to pay your prices

Everything in my current fleet of cars requires premium, so I don’t have a choice and have gotten used to it. Once the Mustang shows up I’ll probably feed that premium as well, to make the rated HP I think it needs 93 doesn’t it? 91 is about the best I can do around me though.

Not everyone is use to living in an area with a high cost of living, its all relative. In my area an expensive house is $400k, in some parts of the country that’s a trailer, but our wages here are also probably a lot lower than wages in those areas too. When you’re used to paying $2.39 a gallon, $4.79 hurts.

Don't get me wrong I'm not bragging about paying that much for gas or diesel

Didn’t think you were, you just said you can’t believe we’re complaining about our gas prices, and I was just explaining to you why they were. In my area we went from $2.79 for premium in 2021 to $5.39 a gallon for premium most of this past summer. That’s a hell of a jump for anyone’s budget, but especially for areas of the country where wages are typically lower and there may not be as many work opportunities local so more people commute longer distances.
