Costco and Sam’s club. (only places I go for premium) for my stang. It’s affordable. No difference than everyone else’s base 87 prices

Costco is top tier. Sams club, don’t really know. That said, never have had an issue with Sams over 5 years in any car.

They only have two choices at pump. 87 & 93

I think the increasing price disparity has to do with the rise in turbo 4's, that read "premium recommended" on the cap rather than the old v6's that ran on regular. Somebody is taking advantage of that in pricing.

I didn't do any historical research, but I remember premium always being about 20-25% more than regular. Using any dollar figure is a poor way to do a comparison due to regional tax differences, inflation, supply and demand price swings, etc.

your area follows the same pricing as mine, its a solid 80c to 1 dollar difference, from 87 to 93. 89 is exactly 50% difference between the two. ie. 50cents lower between the 1 dollar difference.

the membership fees pay themself very quickly for my gf and myself turbo cars.

Yep blue states suffer more.
