This is probably a stupid question, but I can't for the life of me find the answer either in the manual, or on the forums. The instructions on how to use the built-in line lock feature are very clear, but only up to a point. First, you initiate it by selecting the option from the Track Apps menu. Then you engage it by pressing the brake pedal as hard as you can. So far, so good.
But then what? How do you start it? You floor the gas pedal and dump the clutch? Then you just keep your foot firmly planted?
How many revs would be appropriate, to ensure the tires break traction instead of just stalling the engine?
Any tips or tricks?
Thank you.

I'm not going to be much help but I got mine to work after much struggle. I had to press EXTREMELY hard on the break pedal. Hopefully others will chime in.

Indeed, you have to press hard, but I had no problem with that, because there's an indicator on the dash that fills up as you press the brake pedal. The harder you press, the more it fills, until you reach a point when it's completely full. At that point the line lock is engaged.
I managed to get there quite easily on my first attempt. But then I got cold feet and cancelled it because I wasn't sure what to do next.

I believe when the pressure builds to the top, you still have to hit OK to initiate it. You'll feel/hear the ABS system lock the calipers in. Then you have 10 seconds to do your burnout or take a few bites of pizza. Whatever you want.

So, how do I do that? Just rev the engine and dump the clutch? Is that all?
How many revs would you say would be enough to ensure I spin the tires and don't stall the engine instead? About 4K or so? Or more?
Should the traction control be turned off before that, or will the line lock take care of it (i.e. override it) automatically?

Phuq around and find out. LOL. Enabling line lock will automatically disable TC….

you should be more worried about how not to start bouncing off the rev limiter 😄 . rear should break lose pretty easily while front wheels are locked. you will either stall or create a white cloud of melting rubber. obviously, you will need to build up some revs and dump the clutch quickly. I think that within 10 seconds if you press Ok again, fronts will unlock and you should be able to do epic burnout roll.

if you want to do it in a proper canonical way, make sure to have a crowd and couple lamp posts to be there nearby

It’s easy with the auto. Press OK and then stab the brake peddle hard until it says press OK. Once you press okay you use the gas pedal till the tires are smoking. When your still spinning, Press OK again to roll out and then you switch to braking.

You don't need to rev 4k. The mustang will get the rear tires spinning pretty easy. 2500, maybe 3k? I haven't used it in a bit but I'm pretty sure you can roll into the gas normally and let the clutch out slow and still get them spinning.
