I wasn’t planning on doing a build thread on the house, but @80FoxCoupe asked me this morning if I would do one. Unfortunately, I didn’t hang onto a lot of the photos of the different things that took place since the scraping of the lot up until now. With that being said, I can shed some light on it and show what the 3D renderings of the house look like and provide some photos/videos.

Feel free to ask any questions and I’ll do my best to answer them.

Specs are as follows:

3 bedroom
2 bathrooms
Office

2013 SF of Living Space
1744 SF of Garage Space (consisting of a 2 car bay and a 3 car bay)
264 SF Screened in Lanai
177 SF Covered Porch
4198 SF Total

Nice layout. I like the access connecting both garages. Hopefully there is ac in the gym?

Thanks! Yes, I’m going to install a 36K BTU mini split in the shop. I was going to do a dual zone unit and put a separate air handler in the gym, but I think it’ll be easier to just leave the door open to the gym and cool things down along with the shop at the same time.

The 2 car garage won’t have AC, as it’ll be used for parking my wife’s car and lawn equipment.

Looks great! Definitely have garage envy. We built our house 9 years ago, semi-custom so we were limited in some options. 3 car garage wasn’t an option with the model we chose (had the best layout overall which is why we chose it, and by we I mean my wife, I lost the garage battle LOL), I would’ve loved the option for 5 garage spaces!

Look forward to seeing it fully complete, looks great so far. Congrats!

Thanks! We can’t wait to get back into a house again. Apartment living has not been fun at all for us.

Smart man, let the wife do the yard work, lol.
Haha! I might be able to get her to help me from time to time, but realistically speaking, the yard work is gonna be my responsibility. As much as I hate doing it, I do love the look of a well manicured lawn.

Looking to adopt a 39 year old? I’ll live in the garage.

Moderators, @NGOT8R plans to install a coyote powered generator at his house at some point. Therefore this project should fit the build thread guidelines. If not, this project is necessary for the completion of the s550 turbo project!

Am I missing a door, or do you have to walk through your laundry room, closet, bathroom, bedroom and dining room to unload groceries if you park in the garage?
