The ones u linked specifically say not for oem. That's what I was talking about in post 13. Someone had a thread similar to this a while back and it was a topic of discussion because people were putting those gorilla lug nuts on oem wheels.

Whatever brand u buy just make sure there solid one piece and that they are the large "bulge" acorn lug nuts. Alot of people even on here use aftermarket but small style. Those have a lot less contact area on the cone of the lug nut and the seat of the wheel (factory wheels) which is unsafe.

I'm sure it is. However, u have some good insight as to urs maybe factory because of what other owners are showing. I'll also say according to JD Power & assoc, from mid 2020 and current, they see the most consumer complaints in the auto industry than anytime before.

I don't know, possibly but I think there's structure there to hold the tail lights in?

I was thinking about offering that advice. I'm not sure though because that area is actually "trapped" I believe, so no real way of looking at it?

Also I'm really not sure on my opinion because some things make me think it was a repair but then I look at other areas and it looks factory with lack of quality workmanship from the factory. It's weird man.

For reference, I just took these pics for you. Also for reference mine is a 2016 GT. The "dark" area on the driver's side is just dirt. The interesting thing is the passenger side looks a lot cleaner and neater than the drivers side. LOL
