Yes they went up. On the 2200sl i was runnning a stock crank pulley with a 3.48 upper. Now on the jtb its a 3.33 with 20% OD balancer. But i have the gate springs set for 15 psi.Slamdcoop0428 did your IAT go up when you switched headunits? I thought if anything they would have decreased with a bigger more efficient blower.
Would a YSI-B be a better option to replace the 2200sl with for less heat & more power & the same boost levels?
When will we see that 8 second pass?Yes they went up. On the 2200sl i was runnning a stock crank pulley with a 3.48 upper. Now on the jtb its a 3.33 with 20% OD balancer. But i have the gate springs set for 15 psi.
I think it's time you updated your signature! When will we see that 8 second pass?
I think it has 9.1-9.2's in it. We will see. When will we see that 8 second pass?
They told me this initially as well. I was more persistent about getting more timing and told them I understand I am taking life into my own hands and I wont come after them if I blow it up. They agreed to give me 20* if the logs look good, which is what I asked for.Is Lund giving a more aggressive tune for the Meth? I was told I can run it with my existing tune but it’s capped at 18 degrees. Obviously there’d still be benefits but not as much.
No he didnt. I used this basically just for cooling. My iat's dropped like 70 degrees! But i might go on the dyno saturday and do a pull with no meth and then with meth to see if there is any power to be had just in the cooler IAT difference. I dont want to rely on the meth as a fuel system even though technically it is giving me more fuel system. My current fuel system is adequate for my power with no meth, just has hot ass IAT's. The car is pulling like 7-8% fuel on its own to keep my A/F similar to where it is with no meth. 75/25 mix pretty much kept my A/F's the same but on 100% meth it was running rich and the car was pulling like 10-12% fuel and still running .74-.75 where on the 75/25 mix its .77-.78.Is Lund giving a more aggressive tune for the Meth? I have my lund boost box under the dash on the drivers side so it was convient to "T" into that and run the line back along the drivers side kick panel. Instead of having to run another line through the firewall. Julio at alky control wanted me to put all the control boxes and elctronics under the dash and i was like hell no. All this is going in the trunk no matter what. I even drilled a small hole for the meth activation light in the rear trunk panel so with one rear seat down i can see the green light kick on in my rear view mirror out of my peripheral just fine. The light is so damn bright, And it would suck to mount it on my dash and have to drill a hole in my dash. Two more questions for you,
I see your MAP sensor is installed by your pump. Where did you tap into boost for reference and how did you hook that up? No boost line anywhere near the trunk lol.
With the IAT harness do you now have IAT and IAT2 (MAF & VMP), or just the VMP IAT sensor only?

And no it just reads off the one sensor now. Its turned off at the maf.
Ah okay, got it.If you look on the first page, the picture of the meth pump and map sensor. You can see the activation light on the rear panel.
I like keeping the electronics away from heat and the elements. The vaccum line goes through the factroy rubber grommet so its a tight seal and soft so it wont get cut.Ah okay, got it.
I planned on putting the MAP in the engine bay and running the electrical lines through the firewall. I don't like the idea of running a boost line through. Maybe I should check with Julio if the MAP can handle the heat first.
Lol of course it was a joke.. Which is why i put the :lol:It was a joke obviously...
Yeah they suck big time. Make sure its high enough to not interfear with any coolant or brake booster lines.I got hosed by USPS. The IAT sensor shipped from Florida and was supposed to be delivered today to Texas. Somehow it is now is friggin California... I hate the post office.
My motor is going in today, so I guess I'll just drill the intake ahead of time. What size hope to drill?
