How did your track day go? Did the HFCs hold up to the heat? Thanks

So far so good, Saturday morning the track was damp in spots due to rain Friday so we were not hard in it in the morning. Saturday afternoon we had 2 - 25 minute sessions on the track back to back, Sunday we had 4 - 25 minute sessions on the track back to back. The only thing that I noticed was last fall ( before the high flow cats )
My track mileage was 7.3, now with the high flow cats my track time mileage is 7.4…

@SL8888 thanks for your user feedback. So you have looked them over thoughly post your recent trackdays and see NO issues / NO cracking anywhere?

Same here! Pretty consistently 5.2 MPG. I’ll bet he had some local miles mixed in with that.

I have not put the car up on the lift yet, that will probably happen this weekend when I put my Z 26 street pads and my Velgen wheels & tires on for the summer

I changed out the brake pads, wheels and tires. Inspected the FabSpeed cats, just a little "Easter Egg" discoloration & some water spots from the rain, other than that No cracks, No issues. Just a snarling, cackling, crackling, just this side of obnoxious, exhaust tone.
Especially if you are lifting off the throttle and just put a little pressure on the pedal....
I love the sound !

Please forgive me if this is a silly question but why pay 2900 for high flo cats when you can spend 1800 on long tubes that come with high flow cats? Is it just for people wanting to keep their engine warranty in place? Looks like a great product, sounds great but seems pricey for what it is.

The reason is simple. Long tube headers require a computer tune. In Massachusetts that means the resulting engine code that is set will kill your ability to register the vehicle. No way around it. I’m considering the high flow cats because they do not set a code.

No. The Fabspeed HFC are a very high quality German cat which are much less restrictive. They are 200 cell count.
Diminishing returns? Realistically under what curcimstsnces would they out perform Greencats? I thought the greens were high quality.

Aside from throwing codes for State emissions, when using long tubes on any Mustang, the original position of the catalytic converter is moved.

Some States will fail LT's based on visual alone, even if they didn't even get to the actual sniffer part. Some States that should fail them on a visual, sometimes don't - it depends on the Inspection Station and how lax it is or sometimes even on volume of cars they are trying to get through in a day they may push you through if it passes the sniffer.

I believe you are discussing 2 different aspects of the part: high quality and then there is higher exhaust flow from a less restrictive 200 cell count cat. IIRC most oem.are like 600 cell. ?

Sound with Fabspeed cats
Thanks for putting up those videos. Nice sound comparison. Plan to put hi flow cats on my 2019 GT350 once I determine the sound increase.
