$230 to just cut and clamp a already made H pipe? Seems steep. I’d say I wouldn’t pay more than $100 dollars for a H pipe install. Especially since it would only take them probably 20 minutes to do. For $230 they best be welding it.
Mine was welded in for about 50-60 I think it was. Go to any run of the mill muffler shop, it’s not a difficult nor specialty job by any means.
I agree quality work costs more but 230 is rather high for the little work that needs to be done. In all reality it’s a 30 min job, with welding and aligning.$230 is fair if that includes welding. Good shops charge more, simply because they spend more than the minimum amount of time, especially on things most people don't notice, like the exhaust tips being hung equally and correctly in the valence.
If you have the jackstands and room at your place. I would attempt to do it yourself. 15 minuet install. Shop would probably charge no more than $100 around here.
