I thought about that as well, but the weight isn't official by ford.

I know it's ridiculous. Takes me 15 min on hoist to change my oil with Pennzoil Euro synthetic 5W40 and $50. I paid for a brake flush and they just sucked fluid out of reservoir took it back and demanded a full flush....pure rip off.”Normal” and right are two very different things. This …. is not just on exotics. Dealers around here try the same thing on service trucks(450-550’s). Was quoted a grand for a service on one of my 550‘s by one dealer, the other a quarter of the price. The logic(sell job) was it was a procedure to do it. Needed 3 hours to do it. The procedure is to bring the tranny up to 170-180 to check proper level and top off. Complete …. that there’s anything special about transmission services. Simply trying to fleece the customer. Took me 45 minutes without a lift. All these cars are serviceable even for those with little ability.
One would think a 25ish gallon cell would be some sort of option at the lofty tally.I sent an email asking to deffer until the next model year. 4400# and no resolution to the fuel issues in a $400K car.
This could be a very dumb question so forgive me if it is. I understand that there is a no sell clause for two years just like the GT. Is there anything that says you cannot modify this car to your liking with other robust add-ons like a larger fuel cell if it fits?I know someone who asked for that and no was the word.
Not that i know of. It's a $400k+ car. Why should anyone have to do this? Consider it has a warranty like any Ford vehicle. You mess with it, you own it.This could be a very dumb question so forgive me if it is. I understand that there is a no sell clause for two years just like the GT. For the majority of owners weight will not be an issue. It’s just a number.Still think the GTD looks amazing and will definitely hold its value but almost 4400lbs is insane!
I think a sub-7 minute Ring time speaks volumes to the capabilities of that car, especially at that weightAt $100 per pound of body weight it better be the best damn Ford car ever built.
Imagine if it lost 1K pounds, like it needs to.I think a sub-7 minute Ring time speaks volumes to the capabilities of that car, especially at that weight
I think a mid 6 minute ring time would be even more impressive if they shed a quarter of that weight.I think a sub-7 minute Ring time speaks volumes to the capabilities of that car, especially at that weight
That’s what I’m saying though, breaking 7 minutes at 4,300+ lbs is pretty impressive and speaks to the car (and driver obviously). If they found a way to drop 500lbs off that car, I would think 6:30-6:40 would be in the realm. Especially if the Multimatic team thinks there’s more time to shave in its current configuration…I think a mid 6 minute ring time would be even more impressive if they shed a quarter of that weight.
