I thought the samething before. If a 100mm round was available and fit that would be sweet to try
The throttle body opening on the Voodoo intake is only 90mm. So I don't see FRPP releasing a throttle body larger than 90mm. Because they sell "bolt on and go" products. Selling a throttle body that makes the customer port their intake opening and use a paper gasket to hopefully seal it isn't something they would do. If they release a 90mm throttle body would it make more power than the 87mm throttle body the car comes with? If it does make a increase in power, what I would assume would be a small increase, would it be worth the $500+ price tag? I doubt it.

If anything I think in a few years you will see a new Cobra Jet style intake designed for the VooDoo engine and the newer motors & crate engines. Maybe that will address the larger throttle body and higher flow.

I am interested to see the results of the Voodoo intake on a 2015 coyote. Mainly to see what it does for torque & average power over the Cobra Jet intake set up.

No. The motor electronics are different inside. Plug a 11-14 Tb in and you get a wrench light. Maybe you can tune for it but I haven't been able to. I had one on my 13 and it was Truly bolt on and go. Same Tb doesn't work on my 15. I spoke to BBK about this and they told me they had to change their motors for their 15 tb.

What kind of gains are you guys seeing on 90+mm TBs on these NA 5.0s?

I come from the LS world where a 90mm TB would easily feed 427ci at 600+whp at 7-7300rpms. Larger bodies wouldn't even improve.

The Accufab 84.5mm throttle body was never really proven to make more power by the 2011-14 oners on SVTP. Maybe some midrange torque increase. One guy posted up big gains but then never followed up with any facts or where the gains were repeated again. But most people didn't see significant increases that you could say were not just variances in one run to another. On the dyno or at the track. Most people were not willing to spend the money to see small gains on the stock intake. Not when the CJ intake and mono blade are proven to make much more power.

The large mono blade Cobra Jet throttle body seems works well becuase of the design of the intake. I think the 87mm throttle body on the Voodoo intake is plenty big. Again, a 90mm may make a few hp more, but enough to justify the cost? Probably not.

Similar to the LS world. They don't really add power, but some people hate their money and follow the dogma of "more is better".

Being this close to a major holiday puts a real damper on progress.
Hang in there man. I know how you feel. If I were near you I'd lend you my throttle body off my car.

If you have the Boss IM, long tubes, and cams, I think the throttle body would add a little up top at 7,500+. It's definitely the last thing that you'd want to spend your money on for when you're just trying to get every last ounce of NA power.

I found a used Accufab for $300 for my 2013. I added it to a Boss IM with the runners cleaned up and the TB inlet enlarged to un-shroud the 84.5mm TB (just have to make your own gasket). I bought it with plans to add cams down the road, but then the GT350 was revealed, and I sold the 5.0 to buy one.

I don't think the stock GT350 TB will ever be a restriction for a bolt-on 5.0.

Quick update, throttle body came in, intake manifold is on the car and everything works, no cels i will make an updated thread containing installation notes and will post dyno info as soon as i get some tuning done.

There are some part throttle surges due in part to my car expecting an 80mm tb not the gt350 piece, but cruise is fine. Im babying the car until the tune is revised so as to not turn this into a wtf did my engine explode session. Sorry for the gap in replies but the holiday season held up shipment of the tb.

Hope everyone had a happy holidays and i will post the new thread within the next week.
