This conversation made me take a video of my engine in a few different scenarios: Cold start (on a 90 degree day), let it idle all the way down to about 750 RPM, then push it to 2000/2200 RPM (25-50% throttle), let it idle down again, and then I take it up to 2500 rpm (again, at 25-50%...
On this topic, I'm bothered by the 2018 Saleens still having "302" on the fender decals. The 2018 is now a 307. Advertise those 5 extra cubic inches, dammit!
Yeah, basically 1.5” thick instead of just 1”.
I wasn’t concerned about size as much as I was slight changes on the nose if the 18 possibly throwing off the install (bracket and bolt placement).
Has Ford changed the radiator design/fitment or hook-up for the 2018 GT? I'm curious because I got a Shelby GT350 radiator for a steal, the same used in the 15-17 Performance Pack GTs, but some websites list this radiator as being 15-17 only. I can't imagine there was a significant change, but...
I finally finished recording and editing my full 2018 GT review. I'll go ahead and kill my own buzz by saying I'm probably not saying anything in this video that anyone here doesn't already know. However, you at least get to see me do some back-road spirited driving and freeway pulls.

DING! DING! DING!
If you get the Magneride option for $1700 on top of the PP1, then it’s worth it! The Magneride offsets the (in my opinion) slightly overpriced PP1 alone. $5700 for the PP1 goodies and Magneride? Awesome!
Definitely. I really only see tires as a difference. Not worth $1500 more when both a 15-17 and an 18 PP1 will burn through tires soon enough and a 15 owner can put those tires on their wheels just like the 18 owner likely will, when it's time to replace.
I never said all those parts were $4.7. It's right there in the quote: The $4.7k number is literally just for the parts listed with said number. For $4.7k you get the same brakes, gears, and radiator as the PP1, but you’ll also have better suspension, better wheels, and better tires (and I...
There’s definitely appeal in buying everything you want from the factory and staying stock and under warranty. I personally just love modding my cars.
Hot button issue, I guess... going off of the conversations I've had via Youtube comments on my videos. And after searching for this topic, it seems it's been a year since this forum really tackled this conversation and the 18+ Mustang PP is even more expensive than the 15-17.
I'll repeat here...
I also skipped the Performance Pack Level 1, as I discussed in another video, but I'm happy to be in a base and have a blank canvas, so to speak.

Is there anything you guys really like or hate, with reference to changes for the 2018?
Shared my thoughts in a new channel video...

Although, the cliff-notes version is that this new 6-speed manual is one of the best-feeling manuals ever and while the 10-speed is fast, it seems a bit twitchy for me. I tried it in a GT and an EcoBoost and experienced the "gear-hunting" in...
First real video is just showing off the base, non-selectable exhaust.
Mods coming soon! Looking to cut as much weight as possible, but still keep it daily-driveable and comfortable.

I put more detailed thoughts on my video for my channel:
But, summary: The front end is no bueno and I'm not a fan of digital gauges. Otherwise, it's fine and I look forward to the performance upgrades.
Not 100% related, but I just did my first car review for my channel and it's a 2016 MX-5 Sport. I draw a lot of comparisons to the Shelby since I literally just stepped out of mine to review this, though I do reference how different they are, of course (in every aspect: price, performance...
