I installed the same exact setup on my 15. I had an exhaust shop cut my h pipe and weld in a 3" section. On the A/c line I can't help you as my I haven't put headers on the 18 yet.
ok so more or less without having HPtuners up right now, essentially that throttle response you are referring to is in the Driver Demand tables. There are different tables for the different modes. Essentially, in sport + it is telling the car to open the throttle more for a given amount of...
Sorry for the late response, I was out of pocket for a while.
I ran non catted. I added the resonators mainly for the rasp and drone. The tone didn’t change much with the resonators. I absolutely HATE rasp, it sounds too damn ricer to me. But after the resonators, I had countless people tell...
I did on my 15 but I immediately had some resonators welded in to tone down the volume and rasp. That said I will be putting the same setup back on my 18 when I get around to it.
Ok so without know what driving mode you were in, or whether you had traction control/ advance trac on/off it’s hard to say specifically. But from the MPH in the screenshot it looks like you had just launched the car. Is that correct?
Your car uses the transmission to control the rev limit...
Lol it had been so long since I set my profile up I forgot about the vehicle. It’s changed now though. In order to get 30 degrees I had to raise the MBT on some of the less weighted mapped points. It is a lot nicer on the 18s though because the Flex fuel spark modifiers are there as opposed to...
IATs are not as big of a deal as people make them out to be. On a stock tune the IAT has to be over 114 before you see timing drop 1 degree. But most of the time that is just from the sensor being heat soaked which will happen no matter what you have. However just because timing is being pulled...
On my strategy flex fuel logic was NOT enabled nor the tables properly populated stock. This includes both fuel and spark related. Alcohol percentage was not a loggable PID either.
No offense taken, I learned a lot from you and others before on tuning methodology.
I haven’t been using VD for this. I was using engine brake torque and a math for Horsepower. The temps and DA have been really stable back home at the time of morning I was doing this. Between that and using...
Not only that but you aren’t trying to cram everything in all at once and can take your time with it. For example when I got to VCT I only made one change a day, and I would just do a pull on my way to work to test. Took about a week and a half but really didn’t inconvience my schedule.
To further answer the OP's question, on a STOCK 18, on high quality 93 you will see timing peak @ 25-26 degrees at WOT. The highest it can go on the STOCK tune is ~27.5 degrees at the same Load/RPM. So it really depends on how good your fuel quality is. If you have really good 93, you wont...
On the 15-17 cars that is the case. They don't have spark modifier tables for flex fuel. So the knock sensors are doing all the work to make up for the timing. This causes a laggy, sluggish feeling when running a flex fuel tune that has 91-93 borderline spark settings, because it takes time...
