You may want to search the two relay trans brake modification. You can use that set up with a momentary switch/button to lock the trans so the car won't move and you can bring the engine rpm up.
Yes, weight reduction is huge and the DA can be helpful as well. But the right combination of parts dialed in is everything. Getting to the track a lot to sort things out, dial things in, learning what techniques work best, and so on all get the car quicker. It is rare that the first pass in a...
:D
But seriously, sometimes the main street area gets policed for cars that are allowed in there. Super rare car or cars worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to over a million dollars. So ya, in comparison, poverty stangs. lol
Calling these cars a 4 seater is a pretty good stretch. haha
But yes, with all the safety and convenience features these cars are not ever going to be as light as a Foxbody. For the most part, cars are just heavy today.
I've been to both over the years. It gets the same type of cars. The venue is kind of cool as the main area is in the outdoor mall. So has the feel of walking down a closed street.
It is a cool show with a lot of high-end cars. Don't be offended if poverty Mustangs are to park in the outside lot haha

Al Piemonte Ford in Melrose Park has a GT350R coming in that I do not believe has been spoken for yet. I'd expect a big ADM though. If interested give them a call. Ask for John Gomez.
Thank you guys.
We make a trip to the Tail of the Dragon every year. We usually get to take pics in the middle of the dam. But it was closed for repairs. So we had to shoot it there and in a way to hide the barriers. lol
It is such a beautiful area. Lots of places for photo...
I wouldn't call cams headwork either. Headwork is usually reserved for head porting, valve seat profile changes, bigger valves, and so on.
I agree that his mph seems a little low. But I am sure he will keep chipping away at it. I would think at his weight 125-127 is a reasonable goal for...
They are not a cheap modification. No doubt. But it won't be much more than that 4.09 gear and install.
The converter should help 60' times more so than the gearing. You will be able to launch harder as you will be at peak torque NOW. Where as the gearing will make the engine rev quicker, it...
You should have no issues if you drive it like it should be driven. Have you tried the rain/snow mode? It neuters the car bad. So throttle inputs are very lazy. I have only used it once to try it out. But damn, felt like a lazy 4 cylinder, not a 5.0. haha
The converter isn't bad at all when...
Why not run a higher stall converter? Don't be afraid of them. The Circle D converters are great driving around town. They are not the super loose, non lock-up converters your dad grew up with. They are pretty tight until you put your foot into the gas. Then it stalls right up there. The...
I have two different versions. Both seem to work well with my small 1.2 gallon pressure washer. One $17 and one was $60.
This one works well with my small 1.2 gallon pressure washer. But the ratio knob just spins forever. It will adjust the ratio but not sure when it stops. The stud it is...
Were you spinning with your launches? I assume you were by the fact you were dropping air pressure. If you are spinning are you spinning right off the start or is it spinning a little out?
With the NT05R 305/35r19 you shouldn't be that low in air pressure. Most 19"-20" radials are going to...
I went with a 4c on their recommendation. It is a blast to drive and way quicker than a stock converter. But I really wish I got the 5c from the start. My 60' times are not as good as I would like. A looser stall would help that.
A few guys I know had 4c and got a 5c laster. All are happy they...
Stock with headers, PMAS air intake, Lund E85 flex-fuel tune and 4C. BMR diff and cradle braces.
The problem is hooking on the street when launching hard. lmao Although it is not horrible.
At the track, it dead hooks.
