Regarding around town...the car has still surprised me a few times, went for a third gear pass on some one on the highway and the ass end came out hard..wife got pissed and i may have pinched a hole in the seat....but the power still exists with my current setup no real reduction in anything power wise, just the complete removal of any surging...awesome decision...again, i hope to redyno tomorrow

I am really interested in this. I might go ahead and join the intake squad. Are they currently for sale?

So there's no way to get rid of surging with gt350 TB? Even with a good dyno tune? Is everyone experiencing surging

Definitely looks worth it. Especially with headers. Great n/a setup for the guys that don't want FI yet.

Sandeale I'll Paypal you $20 towards the cost of a re- dyno. I planned to run the oem tb with it anyways and would like to see the numbers. If there is any loss at all vs the gt350 tb it might be at 7500+ . Any change down low is likely tune related as the engine will not pull enough air for the tb to be a restriction.

No need for the funds, im doing it to better educate the community, consider it a donation on my behalf...also by this time next week ill have a followon dyno session with headers and optimsed oe tb (look up maxbore.com)

But luck is on my side as im off tomorrow so as long as the dyno is car free i should get some pulls in, ill also include a 5th gear pull to show the differences between dynoing in 4th and 5th (tq ahould look more normal this time)

Awesome and thanks for sharing all this.

I don't get how Higgs Boson was able to eliminate surge but Lund couldn't. It must be doable.

Wondering how Nick@JDM is making out with it.

When you say surging what exactly do you mean, low rpm bucking ? Or is it something that's spread out through the whole rpm band. I'm curious if it's something i would be able to tolorate

greg has been helping to dial my tune in, and after a few iterations to fix driver demand and surging, everything looks and feels good on 92 octane. well, except for a false knock condition that was pulling 3deg of timing @ WOT above 6000; gone now after i removed the a/c nut/bolt/bracket that was rubbing on the passenger side header.

i'm heading to the dyno on saturday with a tank full of E85, datalogging, and will post results. my setup:

GT350 IM
GT350 TB
FRPP 47lb/hr Injectors
SW 1 7/8 LTH
High Flow Cats
SW Catback
Airraid CAI
Lund Flexfuel Tune

Greg is also helping me dial in almost the exactly same setup. Except I have AFE LT's, 3" Borla full exhaust and took the Insert out of my Airaid. I need to get him some WOT datalogs still also.......I have not had any surging issues with my GT350 TB

Eliminating the surge is definitely doable. I've shared a little info with about 10 or 12 members but most are not using HPTuners so it's difficult to give exact info for their specific software.

the surge comes when rolling in progressively harder on the throttle around 2500-3500 RPM and maybe 70% throttle. normal part throttle and full throttle are fine without any adjustments. you almost have to make it surge, but still, it shouldn't do it.
