I've had my gt350 intake on for a few months now and picked up 3-4 mph on a crap tune at the track. I got the tune lined out a little better and went back and ran a 11.50 with a 1.70 60 time. Revving to 7500 and clutch was slipping a little.

That was a couple months ago and haven't been back. I haven't been doing much with the car but driving it. I do have a new tune that spins 8100 an have been running it for a month or two and it reall pulls harder up that high. I look forward to going back to the track and trying to get the 60 ft down and see the gains with the 8100. I feel that is where I feel the most gain.
What did you trap with the 11.50 run?

My best is 122.?? Only made 3-4 passes and all were in the 120-122 range. One may have been a 119.??

But that was spinning to 7500. It feels stronger spinning 8100 then it does at 7500.

Just my opinion since the car has never been on a dyno.

I will try and post a video i have from the track.

Running a GT350 IM and TB. ARH 1 7/8 catless header and full exhaust. JDM tuned. Runs awesome. 454 HP. Pull hard all the way to 7800. No track times yet.
What type on CAI are you running?

driveability is pretty good. the tune still needs some tweaks cause i do have some surging when driving normal. when i get on it, it is strong and pulls hard all the way through the rev range. i havent stretched it out past 7500, read not to push it past that without changing oil pump gears and some other things to keep the motor form going, but feel like it will make useable power past 7500 with those changes

mike i didnt know you were on here :)

car was running strong for sure :)

i was unaware there was still some light surging. thought i got it all. should be able to straighten it up though :)

also craigsix on on 91 from my understanding so that might be something to do with it.. not sure to be honest as i only helped his tuner and not actually tune it myself.

All I wanna know is how is the DRIVEABILITY?!?!? manners???
Hell, I had to buy one and install it just to find out!

Installed mine last Friday - got it from Benny@Levittown. GT350 Intake and 87mm TB. A step up from just a JLT CAI and Lund tune. Got the original tune modified by Lund, and couldn't be happier. 450 miles on it this week to work and back and a few hard pulls down in Mexico last weekend. Doesn't feel as though I've lost any low end or mid-range, but the puppy really starts waking up at about 5500. And pulls strong to 7500. 3rd and 4th gear are vicious on the top end. Haven't had any surging at either tip-in, light throttle, or planted foot in any gear. Ran down the freeway early Sunday morning, cruised at 70, then 80, then 90, then 100 mph. and it's fine.

Had a concern when the PP dash vacuum gauge was only reading 15" at idle, but the gauge is electric. Hooked a good manual gauge to the manifold port and got 23" - rock steady.

I have a stock baseline dyno and a second set of runs with the JLT and Lund tune, but nothing yet on the new setup. Wanted to make certain all is well before strapping it down again. Should get it run in the next week or so. One full tank on the new setup, and mileage is about the same as before... 18.1 mpg (calculated) at fill-up. So far on the second tank, computer says 19.4. But it's always been about .8 mpg optimistic. That's about what I averaged with the stock setup, mixed city and highway. Happy camper for sure.

Sorry, but there won't be any time slips... those days are over. Just puttin' this one together to run out in the desert. Also, the temps down here haven't gotten below 50 at night in the last week, so I don't know how it'll behave in cold weather. S'pose I'll find out... eventually.

Your mileage may vary. Void where prohibited by law. ;)

That is all...

it seems fine but ive noticed surging when going uphill at low rpms. im curious to see what it does with cruise control on. going to the track tomorrow nite i think the 3.15 gears might hold me back a little.

122 trap is awesome. So many people are ditching this manifold before we get a good base of track times or its potential.

went to the track last nite and was dissapointed also surging in low rpm cruising. d/a and temp was up a little but ran quiker with stock manifold. 60ft. time is down and very sluggish out of the hole with 3.15 gears and my tuner charged me $225 to retune mph is up a little but doesnt make up for the loss in lowend. best time last nite was [email protected] vs a [email protected] with stock intake best 60ft. was a 1.934 vs, a 1.899 with stock im. maybe a stall and better gearing will help oh well its only money. met some guys at the track that are using hp tuners that are going to help with my tuning problems for less than $250!
