Which is a good sign because it's probably a 5.0 ecoboost.. I can't imagine them putting the 3.5L V6 EB in that truck.

Wish theyd hurry up and release all the info on this so we can get on to speculation of bigger things(Gt500 replacement). Anything less than 662hp doesnt even make it twitch.

Like the Boss, this is track oriented, not the power beast like the GT500 was. It will be track focused and tuned and would lay waste to a well optioned GT with a supercharger even if it had less HP because it will weigh less, have better traction, control, etc for the track. I'm not saying you are wrong as even me saying "this is track oriented" is speculation until Monday...I'm just saying that this will be far different from slapping a supercharger on a GT...

You are 100 % correct, however my post was in response to a poster who stated they would be satisfied with as little as 475 hp at up to $60k. If I'm spending 55-60k I require significant straight line performance with my well sorted out chassis. I won't likely track my car, certainly not as often as I make a quick back road pass or get jiggy on an onramp.

I would love a gt350 which is in effect a super boss. Big horse power , great sharp handling... But, If the gt350 isn't capable of a12..3 right out of the box along with other gifts...I'll go another way.

Just what it's important to me.

[emoji106]respectable. I really don't want less than 500...I'll be a bit disappointed. HP isn't everything but I've always wanted a 500HP car right off the showroom floor.

I think the question is: What engines are we going to see..?

Well it seems the speculation consensus is a 5.2l but FPC or CPC? I am one of those on the fence. I hear all the speculation and I think there are valid points to both sides soooo I don't know what to believe. Hopefully find out monday :-)

CPC ~480-500?
FPC ~520-550?

520-550 HP. 55K for GT350, 65K for GT350R with extra goodies (maybe carbon ceramic brakes?). Pure speculation straight from my dreams. :D

I doubt that the GT350 will start just $5K north of a loaded GT, which can top fifty grand (barely). Look at the Z28 if you want a pricing ballpark.

Cross Plane Cranks are heavier as a result of additional metal for balancing the engine. They generally produce more low end torque and less vibrations for durability and heavy loads etc.

Flat Planes are able to use less material on the shafts and are able to rev much higher with greater mid/top end, but they have vibration issues in larger applications.
