Agreed! So ford changed the game with this fpc beast. Why not dominate the market? In the end it's about the almighty dollar. If they want to make a statement this thing will be better performance at a better price.

I think, they'll bring back the Boss (or Mach1) after GT350 goes on sale.
It will be coyote engine w/ 460hp and a few parts handed down from GT350. Starting a little over ~40k. It will be there to solve the GT350 price complaints. Then after Boss (Mach1), people will complain about no real drag car.... bam GT500 is released. I think they know what we'll think before we think it. :)
I like the thought.

I plan on waiting about more years. That will allow more of the models and buzz to roll out, remove adm on the GT350 just as was done with the boss and allow for some tweaks. I vastly prefer the 13 boss look over the 12. I expect the same with the s550 and performance variants.

Great time for the mustang! I will keep my boss and pick what best compliments it sometime in 2016. Until then, I am loving all these advancements between ford and Chevy (plus even the molar stuff on that old e-class chassis)

The name is S550. So I vote for $55000 for price and 550bhp for power.

Side note, I hope the FPR doesn't sound too much like an American bent-crank V8.

"Make no mistake, this is an American interpretation of a flat-plane crankshaft V8, and the 5.2-liter produces a distinctive, throaty howl from its four exhaust tips..."

The flat plane crank is a great point of distinction, both physically and aurally and Ford ought not to be shy about the latter in the least bit. It's not like there's some shortage of great sounding American V8s, including the Mustang GT for one. Nor are flat-crank eights hard on the ears, far from it as a quick listen to any Ferrari V8 wailing up through the gears will attest. Ford ought to emphasize that sound difference to the Nth degree, not shy away from it.

Already owning a Boss puts you in a good position to wait. :)

I've been waiting 3yrs for S550. Probably just order a GT base PP & Recaro and build my own Boss-like car.
I took a chance that the 350 wouldn't be available in auto and loaded. Maybe it will have loaded options, but auto is a no no. So i grabbed the LE when i had the chance (at msrp). Ill supercharge it and it will be able to do a whole lot more than I can.
