GT350 as a daily driver?

I dd'd my 12 GT, and I will dd the 350. Track wheels with track tires, daily wheels with good tires, and winter wheels with winter tires. Just like I do now...

Tires will last 5-15k miles depending on how you drive. I would imagine the tires are going to be 350-450 a piece.

Pilot Super Sports have a 30K warranty on them. As long as you aren't burning rubber or hanging it out on the hairy edge every day, I assume you should get 20K - 25K+ of good wear. Also, I can confirm that they stay fairly pliant at temperatures down to 30-35 F. I have them on my GT 500, they are really good tires.

My hat is off to those who daily drive 'em. I did that with my '03 Mach 1 for over 4 years, accumulating 63000 miles before retiring it as the second vehicle. It's like going to Disney World...every single day.

I am so going to use that next time!

But the tires the Shelby is using, the pilot super sports are amazing. Great grip in both the dry and wet. I've also heard they're decent in the really cold weather. They should last a good 20K miles. My only concern would be the price. These are GT350 specific tires and are very wide. But for a car like this, it's worth every penny!

Someone asked about all seasons. I've got Pilot Sport A/S 3's and I love them! Overall it's a fantastic tire in every weather situation (Except snow, I'm in Texas!). I don't think they come in the GT350 size however. It'll be tough to find an all season tire that wide.

I am not assuming anything. I'd rather drive anything even my old Edge than drive a GT350 in the winter.

If I could afford the GT350 I'd probably get a beater for a DD or just something simple anyway. Enjoy the GT350 in the summer and on the weekends.

^^Heck no. Why would you DD this car. This is a limited production special offering with a unique engine design. It needs to be babied and taken out only on special occasions. Especially in winter climate with snow and all the elements. Just get a DD with good FE. It will be that much more enjoyable to have fun in it when the weekend hits while it keeps the mileage down thus keeping its value.

why would you care about mileage and value, when you're dead that shit doesn't matter at all.
Enjoy the stuff you have if you can afford it and use it how it's meant to be used and more aka have fun with it
