Don't worry it will be at a real auction next month. I pulled it from all the calls and offers. It will be at Barrett Jackson Scottsdale next month on Saturday, so then everyone can see what 001 brings in a no reserve auction!!
I don't see it on the docket. What's your lot number?

What it should do is draw a slightly higher than average hammer for a 2020 R. Anything more than that is just hype. Again, look at HR001 as a comp. It will be interesting how they portray LR001 when it rolls across the block.

I'm going to guess 90-100k (final price). Anything more would be surprising. I hope I'm wrong though and it sells for 150k or more. It would great for the overall market of the car going forward.

Over many years I have sold a few cars at auction but always stayed in control of my destiny by establishing a reserve price with the auction house but even with a reserve price in place I would have some concerns about how much money was in the room at the time and was it the right day and the right time slot for my car to cross the block therefore tip my hat to you for going with a "No Reserve" auction.

As you are fully aware between your initial entry fee, vehicle transportation cost, seller's commission percentage of hammer price, personal transportation, car rental, accommodations, meals etc. obviously there is a lot at stake from a monetary standpoint.

I remember taking a couple of cars to Kissimmee numerous years ago and my entry fee alone was $3000 for both cars.

I hope that BJ provided you with a good time day and time slot for your car and also hope that they included a good display space for your car?

Good luck Mike and hope that your car brings all the money next month!!

Yes you are absolutely correct! It's a gamble but the way I look at it if I break even and get to go there for free and watch a couple of my cars go through Saturday will be worth it in the end for me. I'm also bringing my 21
Harley Davidson super duty 001. I need space I ordered some very unique cars and trucks and I hate to see some go but I still have 005 Heritage and I still have the 2020 photo shoot 001 F250 Harley Davidson. So I feel bad but a guy can only have so many cars. Thanks for the support!! I'm excited to go and hopefully things go the right way and if not at least I have the memory to go with the cars!! Take care, Mike

yea, who knows. The problem with the auctions is that it depends on the crowd. I think a value of around 10K over MSRP would be more than fair. No reserve would leave me very concerned. If you have a dead crowd.....

I too am interested to see what it goes for.

Haven't heard from "CoolHandLuke" in a while... he is now a proud Porsche owner and probably left us in his rearview mirror.
I believe he would be interested in what interest his HR001 is generating. Think I will give him a call and update him... also see if he would like to comment on this thread.
He may not even know his car is going to auction!

I think a lot of the interest has been hyped up quite a bit. Although it is an HR001 equivalent (without the jamal hameedi providence) LR001 will be quite the spectacle Im sure. HR001 sat for quite a bit in a dealers showroom for about 10K over MSRP.

I'm interested in the result.

Even if it goes high - it's a theatre act - people with money creating hype because they know how and other people with money want to play. All it does is create a car that is like all the other cars except you cant really drive it, lol..... and also, it makes that first person some money.

Great idea - I know one of my favorite things is having someone let me know that a car I sold is being flipped for twice as much as I sold it for. I'm sure it will make his day, too!
