Hey guys, first time posting here. Figured I’d share the dyno results for my 2015 gen 5 Whipple car.
Mod list:
- E85
- Cat delete
- 3inch catback
- stock headers
- Duel 535 pump return style fuel system
- ID1050 injectors
- 3.625 Pulley

So far I’m decently happy with these numbers though I’ve been told it looks a bit low. Only thing I can think of is the fact it was dyno’d on Nitto NT555R2’s (305/45/17) with 30 PSI in them. I had brought the stock tires but the dyno operator said there wasn’t much of a difference between those and the drag radials.

Next up, 3.3 pulley and hoping my engine loves me.

I am sure people with those systems say a high quality LTH, TB etc, will be a must to increase HP from same boost. I have also seen MT drag radials LOSE HP on the dyno compared to Street 19 tires. Good luck.

Thank you, I almost forgot to mention it runs a 132 MM TB as well. Only thing missing really is headers.

Chasing the dyno numbers can be a bad addiction. Lol. How does it drive? My Gen 5 is going on my 350 next week.

The dyno numbers do look low. Try to get a dragy 60-130 or 1/4 mile pass and see how it performs. How much timing is in the tune?
My buddy was on the opposite side, everyone said his dyno numbers were high at 750 SAE with Roush blower 85mm pulley, Corsa headers and cat back, twin 67tb, jlt intake, JMS bap and E85. He scaled the car and ran 6.15 and 6.25 60-130 on the dragy proving the power was legit. A new gt500 runs 7.2 to 7.5 ish for reference

Will do. Im thinking either the 86 degree weather with 58% humidity or the drag radials caused a loss. Either way I’m not too frustrated with the numbers. I’ll try to get a 60-130 but I’m in the process of swapping to a 3.3 pulley right now.

Agree it does seem a bit low. My Gen 5 did 708/530 SAE on a dyno jet with the out of the box stage 2 kit running the whipple tune. Stock headers, stock cats with just a cat-back and the 3.875 pulley included in the kit. My car is a manual. Is yours auto or manual?

As mentioned, take it to the track and see what the MPH says. Dynos can be goofy and different dynos on different days can produce all sorts of results. I doubt the tires are really a factor. If they were a dedicated drag tire like a bias-ply slick, they would soak up some power. A street drag radial is probably no different from a regular street radial on a dyno.

Don’t let people bring you down it’s all about how you feel about the car. If it makes those numbers and drives perfect enjoy it. Don’t push it for 50hp and not be able to enjoy it.
