Not some sort of injection pump. High pressure fuel pump. The car drives perfectly fine! From the research I’ve done, it’s some sort of injection pump that’s just loud and noisy as it’s turned on and working.

my 5.0 in the '22 F150 sounds so bad around 2k RPM lol...that noise makes it sound like somethings just rattling around like crazy. i guess you don't notice it in the stang bc of the nice sounding exhaust, but in an f150 its quieter than quiet mode on the stang, so all you hear is all engine and man that fuel pump noise is awful lol100% of the ones I've driven have various noises. At light throttle around 2k RPM you can make the DI injectors tick. Others have a type writer. At the end of the day it's just a noisy engine and some are louder than others.
I honestly wish we could just squash all of the new threads that start with "I started my engine and it made some noises doing some things.." At this point there are countless threads all saying the same thing.
This is my 2018 mustang gt, after a oil change I noticed this nasty tick. I was confused and did a little research and a lot of people recommended ceratec. I used it and I feel like it didn’t do anything. And then I started hearing this really fast tick. If anyone has had similar issue and resolved it please help me.
before 2021 i believe it was 5W20, and in 2021 they changed to 5W30 which people were saying the heavier weight (i think thats heavier) didn't produce tick. mine had 5w30 i believe, and they replaced it with that, and i don't have the tick.Hey folks, I'm kinda new to this forum but I have a question. Does anyone know what type of oil comes in a new Coyote engine from the factory? Brand name, weight?
