aye even if I lose, its not his car, its triple the cost, and it will still have been close. so its still kind of a win.
If you enjoy racing you have nothing to lose. Send it and have fun. Maybe even get bragging rights, just be safe. I have a boosted manual gt and honestly full bolt on e85 a10s give me a better run than any m3/m4 ever have.

Im wondering if around 475whp is enough to beat a fully stock m3 comp xdrive in a 60-130 for educational purposes.
As others have said, not a chance. BMW may be the worst offender when it comes to sandbagging their power claims. That M3 makes 500 wheel HP from the factory, and its several hundred pounds lighter than your Mustang. Combine that with way more torque down low, All-wheel drive, and a far superior transmission, and you have a combo that it hard to beat on the street. You need 600whp to even have a chance

But, they actually aren't lighter. Just a quick google search says that the M3 Comp X drive weighs 3990 lbs. My mustang weighs right over 3800 lbs(weighed several times on a calibrated scale).

They definitely underrate the M cars! If it's anything like my cousin's 2024 M2 it'll walk you, but, not horrible. The M2 weighs roughly the same as the s550.

A cocky rich kid at my university shows up with his daddys m3 comp xdrive once a week or so acting like its his and talks trash to every guy he sees about how "his car" is faster and better than everyone else's. He started talking trash on my 19 gt a10 with an intake, catless headers, catback, e85, and 305 ps4s about how its slow and "his" m3 is better and faster. Im wondering if around 475whp is enough to beat a fully stock m3 comp xdrive in a 60-130 for educational purposes.
no you will lose 100%

Why do you even care? Theres a million people with big egos in the car scene dont be one of them

The XDrive alone is the biggest issue.

BMW is filling up the performance car fap left by Ford, GM and Dodge. Funny how that worked out for the German BMW, right? No way this was planned at a corporate level.

I thought I had read somewhere that they were around 3700 lbs, but that may have been the M4 CSL.

Believe it or not, but, BMWs and mustangs can and do get cross shopped. They also have a really big aftermarket and can make big power easily, oh, and they can easily be tuned like a S550. Discounting it being faster because it's "Its a BMW" is silly.

Just tell him my favorite BMW joke…. What’s the difference between a BMW and an elephant? On an elephant the asshole’s on the outside.

From what I've heard on Youtube, the 500 HP is underrated. I've watched a lot of videos on the M3 coupe. Such a gorgeous and fast car.

I've watched some Kies Tuning videos and just from swapping out ECUs and adding some "race fuels", these cars are insane. Even on a 93 upgraded ECU octane tune the car is nasty.

You need NOS. Maybe a spoon engine,
T66 turbo, and a Motec system exhaust.
