Functional grill lights?

What is good though, is that the grille on Mach 1 if you removed the plastic blocking the fog lights, the holes are fully functional RHS for more air for Cooling, and the driver side goes directly to the air filter

I can't recall any other S550 Mustang that has fully open grille as Mach 1s (not even the Bullit grille has all the holes opened)

Having said that, still love to see something from Diode Dynamics or RTR (challenger like surrounding led would be awesome and air duct at the center) or similar company for the openings

I quite like that. Not sure about the yellow as there are a lot of different colours on that front end as it is. Apart from that it looks pretty decent.

Ive seen them on youtube, and went out to look for them and there is a clear or yellow option

Never seen them installed outside of a 2 second snippet on one of their Youtube videos. I messaged them asking for additional pics and a wiring diagram.

I was looking at this as I was looking at putting a Mach 1 front bumper on my car and really making a Frankenstang. (Mach 1 Bumper, GT500 hood, GT500/Mach 1 Spoiler) but the lights look like 4 LED style lights (yellow or white). Not the nice rounded style that most seem to be looking for and definitely not the oval ones you see on the SRTs.

"We do not have a wiring diagram uploaded yet, it's on our list of things to do. The way we installed them is by vampire clipping them directly into the parking lights so that there is no splicing or soldering required and that it can be reversible."

I then asked for installation instructions:

"We are doing an install video and writeup with our media team this week"

I quite like that. Not sure about the yellow as there are a lot of different colours on that front end as it is. Apart from that it looks pretty decent.

For that price, it would be nice to have the capability to change the colors like the Ford MyColor.

If you zoom in the picture within 777 website, you can see the Diode Dynamics logo on the led lens, which made think, DD has a ton of cool fog light option, is the 777 3D printed plastic bracket adjusted to just one DD model? Or could it be adjusted to any of the other Diode Dynamics option that fills the opening in a better way?

Shortly after I reached out to them, they uploaded a better image to their website. This is obviously just an LED light mounted to a 3D printed housing that fits into the opening of the Mach 1 bumper. Good catch realizing its DD making it (a plus in my books). Clever idea on their part.

I don't know that I'll be buying this simply because of the way the mounting bracket looks. Its so obviously 3D printed and wouldn't match well at all with the other material on the front bumper. Personally, I'd rather see a halo light in our Mach 1s. Ok, now I need to reach out to 777 and request the STL file for the bracket, then get with DD to order the light I want XD


Here's a picture for those interested. At the minimum, those bolts would be coming off and painted matte black.

You can take the plastic cover of your car directly and made the 3D CAD model within minutes, even a cardboard will do the trick as quick prototype, and look for someone with a 3D printer. Some ideas to explore.

Well, based on 777's feedback that it is simply spliced into the parking light, that would be one option.

Wow, so yeah. Buy the light you want from DD, mount it into the factory covers of your grill, and wire it in.

I have found a set which I think might fit, just waiting for them turn up, they have a rgb halo ring in them, so they fit, will post photos once they arrive

I totally agree. Aesthetically these do not look good to me. I'm with you on the halo option or something that blends well the front.
