True. That was the first one I found.
like I was saying earlier, if you go with AN fittings and PTFE line, you can put the filter anywhere in the engine bay that it will fit, so you aren't limited to trying to squeeze it in between the firewall and the fuel rail section.

I have this fuel filter, with the 6 micron Microglass element. You can get a clamp with mounting holes and put it anywhere you want.

This is Ford's solution. The entire line with filter and bracket is $230. I bought one but I'm procrastinating on pulling the tank.

And the Filter is common to many other vehicles so it's readily available when its time for a new one.

Dude, I’ve been looking for that fuel line and bracket parts! Havent had any luck tracking those down. Can you help me with a link and/part numbers? Im switching a GT to a GT350 drivetrain. I have the tank parts but I dont think I have the line/filter bracket.

Completely doable once you start looking at using PTFE line and AN fittings. If you are using the factory fuel system, you can get the 3/8" quick connect to -6an fittings for the hard line on the firewall and the fuel rail, and then run PTFE line anywhere in the engine bay you want so that the fuel filter is easy to get to, and away from the exhaust manifolds.

Yep this is exactly what I did but to run a flex fuel sensor. Check my pcmtec flex thread for other part numbers also and a pic. I looked into running a filter but decided it wasn’t worth it as someone told me the factory filter is excellent

Hello.

Has anyone put in a fuel filter in the engine bay? Bad idea?

I have the Edelbrock SC and there’s the braided line going to the fuel rails. Thought about putting one between the junction of the braided line and the rails. Would need a female end male end filter to basically put it in plug and play. Anything like that out there?

Thanks!
Take picture. What - ORB goes into your fuel rail?
What - an line size?

The pic I just posted is where I’d like to fit it if possible. Not sure of the size. It has the typical ford “push in” type clip.

Is this a 3/8” line?

I agree about the extra place for a fuel leak. There’s already enough places. But, for ease of getting to it to change it and easy installation, it may be answer for a plug and play type filter. I’m going to have a look and see what’s out there.
Put a dry quick disconnect fitting on either side, you will never have a mess when changing out the filters

I believe it is a 5/16 line on the 15-17 and a 3/8 line on the 18+ cars.
The disconnects should be fit for that
