Just switched to E85 tonight and was wondering when I should change my fuel filter. Currently I only plan on running it when I go to the track, so it won't be ran all the time. I have an aftermarket fuel system, so just want to get an idea of the replacement time on it. Along with that, how often should the oil and plugs be changed while on E85?

I am getting mixed answers when asking this question. Fore Innovations gave me 2 different answers. 1st guy told me to clean filter every oil change. 2nd guy told every 15,000 miles. I am gonna change clean every other oil change. But with this said I have run E85 for 10 years and have never changed or cleaned fuel filters. Ethanol is a natural cleaner for a fuel system. Or so what I have been told by some shops. Which seems to be true. Now if car sits up not running I would clean filter and injectors. Fuel pumps I will be replacing every 18 months. Proactive is better than reactive. :)

Most fuel filters I've seen pulled have been squeaky clean. Service it at the normal interchange. Plugs shouldn't be any different either.
