Well having started this storm of malcontent...I have completely vented my frustrations...
Thanks to all who have enlightened me and shared their wisdom, whinny slams and patience advice.
I woke this morning with a new attitude. My money is in, I await my VIN number and like the awaiting Dad...the baby will be here when the baby is ready!

Thanks to all...G

Geesh, If only new what ceramic was and my wish for Gun Metal wheels came true.
Yeah, I know..."first world problem" LOL!
Congrats!

First of all, they are on schedule. They stated in the job scheduling that production for Job#1 will start August 11th.

Second of all, working in a machine shop, I understand what they are going through in terms of retooling and getting ready to prepare a next job. You are just like the little kid saying "Gimme gimme gimme gimme" When you don't realize how hard these people are working to get the Mustangs to us PROPERLY. Sure they could have it done early, and then end up like GM recalling them all back within a year.

Third, how are they not being honest? They are being honest by stating they do not have exact details. If they had put out dates that were "exact" and they ended up missing those dates, everyone would be doing the same thing you are right now, raging at them for something they could not control. You realize the longer they take, the longer it takes for our money to get into their company's pockets? This isn't some fun game for them, its business and they are assuring that it is done properly to satisfy us.

Be happy they allowed you to put in an order, if you want to order a car and get it now, go get a 2014. I'm only 19 years old, I put my order in, and I am more than happy that they gave us this much information this early. I am being patient and not complaining because I realize that the day I go up to my dealership with my car sitting there for me, it will all be worth it. Be patient, seriously.

And technically, we are not buyers yet. We did not purchase the car yet, all we are doing is giving dealerships money saying that we will buy a car to our specifications ordered as their stock. They are giving us the order numbers to allow us to view the manufacturing process. They are not in our names until we sign the multiple pages of paperwork and give them our money.
:amen: Stop whining and wait, they car is not even for sale and not even being produced idk what you expect. How are you a frustrated buyer? They gave us a release date so just wait......

I know the wait is rough, guys! We're looking for the first deliveries to begin around the middle to end of September. If you have an order in, please PM your order number and dealer info and I'll be happy to provide tracking updates once production begins.

Hang in there!

Yeah, I work around a bunch of average-aged people varying from 25-50, a lot of them started around my age, and they are trying to get a "new generation wave" of people who are younger who plan on taking over when everyone retires, I am lucky that I am able to learn fairly fast

Damn, my first guess was right about "middle to late" September! I let too many people change my mind on that.

That is cool! Yeah, at my place they have been hiring a bunch of younger guys as well as veterans (military) Quite a few are not holding up and its us old guys taking up the slack...lol It helps when being a mechanic since 1991 but now I am all in electric forklifts... Has its goods and bads but overall, now, I am satisfied after a shift of management Longest civilian job I've help on to... 10 Years then 22 for military

I'm prepared for a meh kind of spec release. It's too late in the game for Ford to have so many things not finalized.

What's so hard about waiting? They are not just gonna throw inconclusive numbers out, would you? Just be patient and wait, once the actual production starts I am sure they will give it out (final specs) you don't want GM TOto one up Ford, do you? Especially if one of your buddies roll up in a Camaro throwing out each of yalls bashing or bragging rights... do you?

They shouldn't be inconclusive numbers. Job one is only about 2 months away and they have nothing solid? Camaro is still a year out so one way or the other, GM will try to one up.

The car still had to go through all of its certifications before final numbers are released... ecerything HAS to be DOT certified EPA AND EVERYTHING ELSE before any vehicle gets the green light for production

Especially true since there are new stuff on the car, new tech and new chassis, mods on the current engine, new suspension... name it all off..
