I definitely have not lost the lust, regardless of the low level of information.

While the message you saw says 'unknown' for items, I think it's safe to say Ford knows. They may well be trying to add more things to the list, but I'm sure they have a solid understanding of which options are going out with Job 1.

At this point, I'm waiting on my VIN, then I'll be waiting on a build schedule, then I'll just be waiting. The only part of the wait that will be difficult will be once some of you start posting your pics and mine still isn't in my driveway. But such is life. I placed my order on 5/22 and wouldn't have done it any differently.

What I see on here is like a kid that keeps begging for a toy (specs) at the store, you keep nagging and nagging until daddy gives in and lets you get it BUT 9 out of 10 you don't get anything... I know, I was there when I was a kid, dare I even ask mom (typical answer from dad) that's exactly the same to a degree here

While we are on this Thread, who are the Mods on this Forum? Simple question, just identify yourselves. ( no such thing as a Forum without clearly identified mods that I know of)
Who set this Forum up?
I see whole threads disappear when its not going a certain way

gotta love this site sometimes…anybody says anything that isn't rah rah and slightly negative and the shills come out in force.
Overall good info on this forum ... the whole idea is to share ideas and discuss.
Ford is on schedule to retool and for production in less than 2 months, so obviously I don't think anything is changing in a matter of weeks, so release all the specs, I agree with that.
Not shills, just people trying to keep a little perspective about the situation. Nobody here really knows why Ford has not released the info. It's just easy to blame them for the discomfort of our impatience. But I guarantee you there is a business reason behind it. They are in the business of making money and will take the path that best supports that goal. Nobody has to like it, but you might as well accept it. They're not going to sacrifice their big picture strategy for a handful of impatient fanatics. They are not frustrating anyone for the sport of it.

The info will be here soon enough, we'll all get the cars and we'll look back and realize that all of this time spent agonizing was really insignificant in the scheme of things... ;) And while we're all picking up our cars from the dealership, ordered MONTHS in advance after an equal amount of obsessing, some guy is going to walk up having seen or heard very little about the car, leisurely take test drive and then buy one on the spot. In a way I really envy that guy... ignorance is bliss! :) Sites like this are a blessing and a curse! ;)

Well said, nothing we can do at this point but just wait. The car is going to be released in a couple months and there will be plenty to choose room. It is just a car do not obsess over waiting, it will make the wait even longer. I am still waiting for the car to be released and road tests are done before i make a final decision on this car. In a couple months the forums will be transformed. You should not be frustrated over this, especially when the car is not even released.

My LE is on order through my dealer. When the info is Released it's released. If I don't like it I'll take my ball and go home. No biggie

They already said that it will be more than the 420/390 of the current GT. That's good enough for me plus it will weigh less. I'm happy with that right there.

I rarely see mustangs. I NEVER see GTs.
Same here. I hardly see any 5.0's, Corvettes, SRT8's, Boss, GT500's. Infact, I see way more BMW's than V6 Stangs as well. The Stang is a rare car in parts of the US. Infact, my TY GT S550 will be quite rare in the Seattle area for sure.

Uh-oh... Maybe you've been away from the forum for a bit?

In the spirit of preventing yet another thread turned weight debate, I'll just summarize and say that there are indications right now that it might be a little heavier, but the bottom line is we probably won't know the whole story about the weight until someone puts cars on the scale in a couple months...

Just got this info:

The 2015 Mustang is on the Way
Now that the very last 2014 Ford Mustang has rolled off of the assembly line in Flat Rock Michigan, the workers at the plant will begin making the changes needed to build the next generation Mustang. While the basic assembly process will be very similar, the machinery used to physically assemble the new S550 Mustang will need to be adjusted. Ford has not said exactly how long it will take to complete the retooling process, but it is expected that the Motor Company will launch production this summer and with summer upon us – we should be within no more than two months from the start of production.

Wheels unknown, interior finishes unknown, .....how does Ford start accepting orders with so many things unknown.

Starting to loose my "new car ordered" lust!

Just wish Ford would get the honest info out there.

Wahhhhhh, first world problems for those of us that want serial number one

That's what I was thinking, better link him to the weight specs thread.
