I really enjoyed reading this thread. It made me realize I am not the only one who is frustrated with the lack of info. My intention is to order a 2015 GT Premium and I am very happy that they turned on the online build site. The issue I have is that the build site is incomplete. It doesn't have the ability to add the 3.55 rear end as an option, it doesn't describe or show what premium trim does to the interior, it doesn't show what the 50th anniversary interior looks like (on the car that has the anniversary appearance package), and of course none of us know what the hp numbers are.
Because I have not seen any of that information it would lead me to believe the car is not yet ready to go. It also leads me to believe that the first set of Mustangs may have issues and bugs that need to be worked out.
Therefore....I have decided to wait to order until the above information is available and, more importantly, I get a chance to actually take a GT for a drive to see if it is indeed an improvement over the 2014 or not. I know the appearance is a significant improvement and I am 99% confident the drive/handling will be as well. I am also living in Wisconsin so there is no point in ordering now so I can just burn 6 months of warranty in storage.
In the end I agree with those who said they should not have released the vehicle until the regular April anniversary date or better yet, August 1st. Take a page out of Apple Computer's playbook. They build the hype, do an amazing release, and then have the product in the pipeline for people to grab immediately. The longer this goes, the more the excitement fades, and the more sales they may lose.
