    While I like the EB concept; why does Ford do this stuff? :crazy: Considering the costs to develop, etc, why cant they apply these resourses towards quality/ efficiency/ power? At least afford us the ability to disable without losing the radio! :thumbdown:

    Final numbers are out, with driveline loss, EB = 290 GT = 326 (driveline + elevation) Thats approx 12% difference in hp at 5000' elevation -These values are derived by me and are not official, nor accurate in any manner

    With hp numbers on the 2.3 out, Does this mean the 2.7 will be 350+ hp? (based on 135hp per liter) I really want a 2wd f-150 if so!

    There are some desolate and dangerous stretches out here, but few over 100+ without full facilities. Id worry more about having a FS spare. Good luck finding a 17/18/19" tire after hours, on a weekend, somewhere deep in New Mexico or AZ

    A pyro/ temp gauge would be alot easier to install than a timer.

    Lets do more hypothetical math & conjecture... A V6 ecoboost @ 370hp minus 10%(Driveline loss) = 333hp A V8 Coyote @ 435hp minus 25%(Driveline 10% + 15% alt. loss) = 326.25hp If indeed these #'s are close, Id sure lean towards something force-fed up high..

    I sure dont look at the GT in this manner either. But after pondering the high altitude drawbacks of NA, compounded with this next generation of tech; reality could surprise us sooner than later!

    Yea, my numbers will surely be a bit off, however, Im starting to realize that if you live in the Rockies, etc, you are NOT getting all the ponies you paid for! :tsk::crazy: Gonna be difficult for me to justify the HARD #'s ...20% more $$ for 10% more power...15% less efficient....

    Sorry if this has already been discussed. Living at around 5000' altitude, the 5.0 numbers are diminished approx 15% According to my math.. A 330hp ecoboost would be 280hp with driveline loss, yet the 5.0 needs a 30% reduction (driveline loss + altitude) (guessing 430hp) Sobering the V-8 down...
