With the somewhat completion of my 2016 gt build, why not coyote swap the coupe? While not a s550, this can provide some gen2 engine tech, control pack and general swap info as there are a few on here and maybe more in progress. Mods, if this is not permitted delete before i get going.

Anyhow, car is a 1980 coupe with 61k original miles. Current combo was a SBF, 347, e85 carb and a tko500. Been 9.87 at 137 all motor.

New combo will be gen2 coyote (all motor), e85 and Tremec TKX trans.

The goal is ported 18 intake, big exhaust, NA and e85. Should rip id think. Gotta get the big stuff first, then dive into the engine. More necessities arrive such as control pack and ecu bracket.

While I like where this is headed, I'm also sad that the snotty 347 has been removed.

The Gen 2 will never sound as good.

That makes sense, but they would be easier to install while the engine is still on the stand.

Id pull the engine and make some other changes. Ive done cams in coyotes before.
